  1. Maybe someone can weigh in on this, on the dbq that my hubbys dr filled out. They ask if he is able to work. The dr checked no . Will they pick that up and automatically give him p and t. Should we contact the Vso before it goes before the board and have him to push that.?
  2. Berta, the first claim you posted, that was the certification number, the doc number was 1223978a. Scared me there! Gaston, my husband had originally agreed to a travel board hearing, and then they sent him something asking if he would just like to let bva decide his case, that it would not take has long, or some crap like that. So he signed it sent it back. But they did not get it straightened out and he had a scheduled meeting for Tavel board in st. Pete. But that is quite always for us to drive at our age and condition.. but at the same time I had already called gotten his docket number, so we cal the Vso in Washington that is handling it thru American legion, so he called and cancel the travel board meeting. It has been with him sinc nov 30.
  3. Bva with them making decision on appeal. Docket date of feb 2015. It has been showing with Vso since 11/30/2016.
  4. Ok ebennies was showing appeal with Vso for review, now nothing, but an exclaimation in a triangle. And that they are unable to post anything new yet. ANY IDEAS WHAT IS HAPPENING.
  5. I have another question . I saw on another forum, that this lady's hubby had an appeal in, he died, and the appeal was closed. And it said denied because he died. Can they do that?
  6. So Bronc, see if I'm getting this right. My hubbys was docketed in 2-2015, and are you saying then about 18 months later he should get a decision? His is just going to board for them to decide. If so he should hear something around august. But now he did have a date of Jan 25 at ro. But that was not what he had wanted. We llive in northwest Florida. St. Is quite a drive at our age and health. That is why we originally chose just to let them make decision at bva. I was kinda hoping the would say well it will go to bva for them to decide now.,
  7. Dvikings, what is your docket number? You said filed nod in early nov 12. My husband filed his nov 12.
  8. Berta, it is not a remand yet. It is an appeal that is at bva, for a decision to be made. But it is with the Vso for review. We do have letters in there from. Both his doctors.we will be calling the Vso to let us know what he writes up. They messed it up and had a meeting for the travel board. So I'm wondering since they have it straightened out does it sound like it will be going before the board soon?
  9. Ok so the Vso called at 6:30 am on Monday morning, and said he would call them and tell them we did not want a travel board decision. That we wanted a decision made at D.C. And I looked on ebennies and now it shows it back at the Vso for review. Since they had scheduled a travel board for the 25th of Jan. Does that mean that it will do the same in D.C.?
  10. Ok we still have not heard anyting from va on this hearing before the law judge on 25th of Jan. Vso was supposed to set them straight. Hubby ask that they make the decision at bva. No law judge no travel board. It has not been changed on ebennies. Knowing how slow va is , do you think we should call bva ourselves? Will it go any quicker?
  11. Ok, we have no idea what exactly going on here. They had sent my hausband letters, asking if he wanted a video hearing, travel board hearing etc.. then the sent a letter saying these hearings take so long, would he prefer to just send to bva in Washington DC and let them decided his claim, and we c hoice just to do that rather than wait a long time. Now to day they show a travel board hearing in st. Pete on Jan 25, 2017. We called Vso and talked to the guy there and told him we had just decided to let bva make the decision in DC. But they had it all screwed up. But he seemed to know what we wanted and ebenefits just has in screwed up. I did call and find out what month they are working on and was tol June of 14. That is what it was over a month ago. Not moving at all. He put in his nod in nov of 12. Docket number in Jan 15. I guess I just do not understand the process. Do they even work at all!.
  12. Ok I apologize, I had the wrong doc #. My husbands doc is1502319. My question now is why is the doc num from 15? He filed the nod in 11/12. I did see one that was a few days off from his doc num.. it was not a good out come for the guy. They are supposedly working on July of 14 at bva. Then I called American legion and hi has not been assigned any one to work on it yet. And she said they were working on June of 13! This all screwed up.can anyone explain this system.
  13. Does anyone know how often they do re exams for a temp disability before they make it permanent?
  14. my husbands ebenefits is similiar . He had a claim show up, I'm assuming the va did it cause we got a call from Lockheed Martin for a re exam for his cads, which he is 60 percent temporary. When we click on claim status for it , shows still open. When we click on historical claims it shows a claim opened on 9/16/2016 and closed 9/20/2016. Authorization review. Any ideas?
  15. Doc number is10-39-312. If anyone can guess when it should be thru? We have another issue to. They did re exams on his cads. He is 60 percent for that, but temporary. Today on ebenefits it shows completed as of 9-16-2016. When I go to historical claims it says authorization review. And view appeal status. When you click on view appeal status, we get nothing. Called ebenefits but they said it wold not show anything. Then why leave where you can click on it. I looked back at other time that it showed authorization review it was a denial of the appeal which we have in now for increase in diabetes an ck sec to diabetes... is it possible for them to take that 60percent away. He went to the exams that was done by Lockheed Martin. Lol. It did say ebenefits no doc need from us. But then it also said they did not receive anything from others. The only way we even new about this claim was on ebenefits no letter was sent. Then a call from Lockheed Martin for the appt.. we never got a thing from va asking us for any thing. Any advic on what to expect.?
  16. Ok, I have another question about this process. On my hubbys appeal,. On ebenefits it says it is with Vso. Does that mean your local Vso, the one he went to to file the appeal? Appeal was originally filed on 11-12. It has a docket number. We sent in labs after it was docketed as advised by local Vso so it would not get lost. It is showing with Vso on ebenefits. Does the local Vso send it to someone at D.C. Vso office?
  17. Thanks Berta,. We did all American legion,. Talked to a guy that seemed really rude. Acted like he was mad because we called. Would not listen to what we were trying to tell him and talked over us. I will call again next week, hope to get someone a little more understanding. As for as my husbands case goes, whether or not his chronic kidney failure was caused by service connected diabetes, it is certainly aggravating it. That is what I want him to push.
  18. How long on average is an appeal with the Vso. I know Bronco said his was with his Vso for 18 months. I believe that to be way to long.
  19. How long on average is an appeal with the Vso. I know Bronco said his was with his Vso for 18 months. I believe that to be way to long.
  20. But then it says our claim is at rep and the guy at American legion in Washington said it was in que there since aug 4. Will they also get copies of what we sent bva to help them write up whatever they do. How long does it usually take them to do there work? I'm getting frustrated here. I'm never calling Peggy again.
  21. Update. Called another number at bva. Peggy was wrong. 9/8 was when they got the lab reports and dbqs. I got her number by calling American legion in Washington. That guy seemed a little rude and upset that we had called. He kept talking over us. Oh well sit and wait some more.lol
