His is horrible. When I worked for the Navy, in the 80s you would've never gotten away with doing something like that. -

And was saying the rest of the celebrities could all just leave, like leave the country.i was not dismissing anyone on this forum. In fact I have gotten advise from Broncovet, and , a few others. And I truly appreciate any advise from everyone. -

Got White House Hot Line Response
treysnonna replied to Berta's question in VA Disability Claims Research
I called them today Berta.the thing I complained about 1. How much time was involved in the Tim nod was put in 11-12 and time of docket 1-15. And then we were not even notified of that until 8-15. 2. The 280 days they tell you it takes. 3. Examiner not following rules of diabetes training letter, in the part about diabetic nephrology. It clearly states they can no t use a urine sample to make a diagnosis. So where she was saying he was not dropping proteinuria and his sample was normal. I had found a pub med article, which they used patients from va to make this assumption. You do not always drop proteinuria in the early stages of kidney disease/ failure. It happens mor offense in later stages. 4. She or they did not take like his egfr or bun into account. His egfr was 45 and his bun was high. 5 Was because the doctors statement diabetes was not worded according to what they wanted, but meant the same thing. 6. Was that she stated his kidney problem was probably due to htr. When they checked and denied him for that early on. She did not say too much, just that someone should be calling in the next 14 days. Hope it helps.. congradulations to you too. 3 -

I'm going to work on a letter tonight to make a complaint. Also in talking with some on here today, going to reopen a claim for hubby. In 2009 he filed a claim for hid then because of his aortic valve problem. Which they did deny, but I think his diabetes made the aortic problem speed up. I saw on Wikipedia, where that is correct. So I'm going to reopen it. And he did have urgery in 13. He went to cardio doc and they found he has another murmur. So I don't know if the pig valve is messing up now. What do you think Berta. Should I reopen that claim. -

Can't Track Appeal Status On E-Benefits
treysnonna replied to Stickman's question in VA.gov Questions (formerly E-Benefits)
My husband may have to contact someone. He appeal is at bva. He filed the nod in Jan of 12. It took them 3yrs to get a docket number and send it on to the bva. It has been 5 and half yrs now. For an increase in diabetes, because he now takes insulin. Sometimes takes a fast acting insulin. Chronic kidney disease. Third stage, because his gfr bounces between 43 to 33. But was denied because in his urnalzis cup there was no proteinurea. Which sometimes you do not have prtienurea until the later stages. I did pull up another vets appeal which was approved and his gfr was 43. Now in that claim the they referred to proteinuria has macroalbuimin. And before they produce proteinuria, it is called microalbumin. Which he was only producing microalbumin too. So the amount they produce determines wether it is the one or the other. And it states in the diabetic nephropathy training letter says they can not even use a urine sample to make diagnosis. -
Wow! So 2 yrs and 1 week. Tell me your secret! How long were you in the coast guard. My husband did 4 navy and 16 coast guard. His last duty station was mobile (sar). In 91. was yours a claim or an appeal. Either way congradulations.

No we have not. It will have to be discussed with family doc. His original doc that ordered the sleep study has retired. But famil doc has thos records. I had to order them for him, since his office did not know how to locate them. Don't think they tried very hard. But I will discuss it with him. Thanks -

Ok, but he had the sleep apnea before they diagnosed him with cad. Although I suspect he'd had cad long before he was diagnosed. He had his aortic valve replaced in aug of 13. He'd had aortic stenosis with it. That is when the found cad. But I'm not sure if I want to associate it with the heart because they may say the valve caused it. Then it would not be sc. now he has had the diabetes since 98. Maybe I'll try that one. His kidney dr said he suspects the diabetes caused the valve problem and kidney problem. Thanks for your suggestions. -

No let me correct here. His age is 72. He is a Vietnam vet boots on ground. He is currently rated at 80%. 20% for diabetes 2 sc 10% for neropathy left lower extremity sc 10% for neuropathy right lower extremity sc 10% for ocular histoplasmosis sc 10% for hearing lost sc 60% for ischemic heart disease he has an appeal in for increase in diabetes, and for stage 3 renal failure. they denied both on claim. He has and stil is on fast acting insulin and slow. He has episodes of of low sugar, but usually handle it here at home. I think he has been to er on time with it. they denied the renal failure because there was no proteinuria in his little urine sample. I looked up another for someone else where they had approved his. And I looked up a pub med article which says that sometimes you do not produce the protein is all the time in the early stages of renal failure. By the the way I believe that particular artical was found using veterans with the va. Of course he also has retnapathy too. I'm not sure if he filed for that, but I do remember reading it on some of his claims where they did ackownoledge it. So maybe I will get that from his retinopathy dr. And file it and it together on ebenefits. What do you think? Thanks ahead of time. -
What do you need to file for I U? My husband is already at 80. He does have two appeals (on same claim). One foe increase in diabetes and one for cod sec to diabetes. The dr did make a statement that he does not think hubby is able to work. Would they automatically pick it up on doc opinion, even if he did not file for it? Or do we put in another claim for it? I have also been trying to get him to file for sleep apnea. He has been on cpap for about 7 yrs now. And if he filed now would it hold the appeal up then? .

Eight is what I saw. I do not understand them at all. Most of them sound like reopens. So if you reopen an old claim I guess you can jump ahead of everyone else. Go figure. I saw on another sight that they always lean in favor of va on everything. On wether if you have a c&p by the va with a pa, and your private dr opinion on dbq. They said they always rule in favor of the pa with va. Some even went on to say your dr would say anything to help you. How does everyone here feel about that? I think that is one of the reasons that people get that imo and pay big bucks for it. The va gambles that you do not want to pay a ridiculouis amount of money for an imo from a dr that knows nothing about you.im ready to write President Trump. May not help, but if anyone could I do believe it would be him.
