SSA told me I did not pay enough Social Security tax to receive SSDI.

I call SSA and they told me I was award SSDI on Aug 4, 2011. SSA personnal could not tell me what amount or when will I get my 1st check or backpay money. Anyone have any answers for me? Thanks Veterans friends. Have a bless day

[Disability Determination Servies]

An examination for Ptsd medical condition was done today. One hour and half the Doctor asked me questions about my life in the Army. Social Security will send me to another appointment in 10 days. After that a report will be sent to the SSA and a decision maybe based on the information in my case file. Should hear something around August 2011. Wish me good luck. Take care my veterans friends. Don't give up..................

A MA CDMS did an assessment for the Independent Living Program for training. A detailed report will be submitted to my VR&E counselor the same day. She was great. She asked me what I needed from the ILP to do for me. I asked for a Lab top with a printer and a walk in shower. I told her what training I wanted and she wrote it on the report.. I will contact my VR counselor on July 5,2011 to get the funds for school for Fall. Good luck to my fellow veterans. Smile. It took me one month of calling the VA VR before anything happen. Good Luck. I will keep you inform of my progress if I get the training.

I been calling my VA Vocational Rehabilitation counselor in the Washington, DC office for 3 weeks no answer. Found out he has been transfer to another State on April 26,2011. VA did not contact me if I will be assign to another counselor. For anyone else! Keep calling on the phone or go to the VARO and question the VA on your Ed case. Good luck to everyone. Take care

The end of March 2011 my VA counselor stated that a nurse from the VAMC will call me to come by my home to do assessment on me. It's now April 21, 2011, I can't get in contact with my VA counselor in DC VARO. I called the VARO serveral times and he had not call me yet. Should I call his supervisor now?

Just call the VA to send you the form to fill out for AA/homebound benefits. Have your Dr. fill out the form. That all I did. I'm now waiting for the VA going to give me homebound benefits. Good luck.
