  1. My father, Navy, 1947, 1951,spent most of his life with bad breathing problems by the time I was in about the 6th grade. it got worse. I did not like doctors and never saw one. Later, about the time I left home and joined the USAF, he went to the VA and asked for benefits with a disability claim (about 1975), and he went to one C&P. They gave it to him. One try, never saw a doctor since the NAVY. He had COPD all of those, and smoked cigs until he was about 50 yrs old. he died of COPD a few years later.

I got sick, went to doctors for 40 years. Didn't smoke or drink. Yet they ripped me apart for everything I did or didn't do they checked and hassled me for every life decision. My first go around they gave me 50% for headache from chemicals. But, denied the intestinal disease and bad knee in 1997. They only acknowledged the jet fuel, but not all of the other.

This latest judge, BVA appeal judge told the VA they omitted all of the other toxic chemicals in my records. it took 100 letters of me begging them to include al of the chemicals I was soaked in. It was not casual contact. I was soaked in them. And the job descriptions included them, but the claims people purposely omitted and ignored them.

I know I have no way of knowing the ratings, etc,, until after.

I am not 100% happy with all of the exams, discussions, and trying to explain everything was a real pain because often the doctors refuse to listen, and tell you ' there is no evidence' and  do that so strongly, they accuse you of lying and tell you to shutup.. and they don't have time, and so you never really get to tell your side. Since I lived in a hospital 6 months, There are a zillion pages of notes of everything. I hope they use the notes from the doctors and nurses I Lived with day and night, over the crappy exam notes. The doctors and nurses saw and witnessed my paralyzed days and weeks. if I try to tell the lousy neurologists at an exam they say I am mentally ill and lying. Yet, The doctors notes have months of my health for 24/7 observation and sponge baths.

  2. In home stretch for decsion after all these years of appeals and claims. I want to post some info about the claims and appeals, and research that went into the process for injuries and diseases from chemical exposure on active duty, all the filings, research for doctor's IMO's. All of the VSO's failed attempts for lawyers to help. My claims go back to the 1990's and injuries from about 1978. The appeals, the hearings, the dockets. The C&P's, The judges remand telling the VA to include al of my medical records that were never included, and or omitted. The very long hospital stays, surgeries. More letters, more statements. I want to know how and where to post info so others can see info on toxic chemical exposure on the job, and related injuries.

My appeal is in the process of going back tot the appeals judges. I just finished many C&P Exams, and I hope the decisions on so many issues, are made by October of this year 2016.

  3. I did a repeat with Internal med doctor, who runs the Clinic. She seemed good, and cared. Though, I have no clue what the final outcome is. I still hope the 6 months as an inpatient at the VA Hospital counts  a lot for my Appeal. All I need it is to make the threshold to bump it up to 100%% with things like Housebound, TDIU, 1151, etc..etc.. from my current 60%. If they go back a few years, that would help too. I am so disheartened, burned out, disgusted, sick, tired, depressed by the nightmare it took to get this far. My On Duty service records show my hospitalizations, and they are related to my current health problems. I don't have any fight left in me! I am well done, cooked, baked, fried. I am just hanging on waiting for my pancreas disease to go into final stages, cancer, Jaundice, etc. The surgeons told me that those are what they are watching for, as they are what happens to people with necrotizing pancreatitis. Multi-organ failure is also very likely. At least I got to finish these appeals. I hope.

  4. BTW, I lived in a VA Hospital, for 6 months in 2008, for failed pancreas operations, and complications. I was tube fed, and was left in a wheel chair for a year, had to learn to walk and eat again... They have 6 months of notes from my stay. You would think they had enough on me. !!! It has taken this long for the appeals stage for the C&P exams!

  5. I went to 3 C&P exams, and they were finished.. I know a couple should have been favorable, at least I thought so...

Now they called me back and told me I have to redo one of those, they said that doctor is no longer there! I think they are trying to stop me from having a favorable exam! Has anyone had to go back and re-do an exam?

I have to go back next week for the redo.

    I couple weeks ago,

One of the exams, neuro the doctor was a prick and would not listen...

One doctor, English was his second language , I could barely understand his thick Indian accent. I think the C&P exams are rigged, and a scam.

  6. I did hire John, but still had to use my VSO, John said it was too late at that time to use John, because of VA/BVA rules at which time you can change representation. But John guides me from the outside. Since I retained him before my BVA hearing, he will continue to advise me.

I am really too sick to think through all of this legal stuff. Complicated. But, at least I still have a fighting chance. It appears the judge told the VA RO to find evidence from specialists in the medical fields that I am filing my claims for, and then go back and approve and rate if I meet the 'more than likely, or 50%/or more most likely. If they say not likely, then I need to rebut them.

I think that's what is going on. Over the next week or so I will try to get my remand edited for posting.

    Thank you,
    Steven Palmer
  7. Bertha, I replied to you via e-mail with a copy of the remand. Once I know what part I should edit out the personal info and post the proper portion of the remand.

note: I am having a big problem with Win10 and my browser in this forum. Sometimes it just will not let me write and post without lots of problems, so I have to keep the info short.

I have enclosed the following documents to support this claim:

    1. Statement of the Case dated
( I dont know the SOC date but you had posted this excerpt here from the SOC) maybe September 2010?
    stating:

"The VA examination shows a diagnosis of status post necrotizing pancreatitis secondary
to endoscopic retrograde cholangiopancreatography with residual chronic pancreatitis.”

    2. Article referencing “Endoscopic retrograde cholangiopancreatography (ERCP) remains the most common cause of iatrogenic pancreatitis [1]

Berta, I have the Remand for my case(s), from my 1151 BVA hearing, I just got it, I scanned it into my computer and sent a copy to Mr. John Dorle.

Would it be ok, If I sent you a copy so you could see it, I would post it, but I need to redact private info out of it if posted in public   forums. Also, John said let the Remand play out before doing anything else at this time. File is a PDF and just over 37 MB. Less then 50 pages. Let me know, I could email it if you would like a look.

I have not had a lot of time to digest the Remand. It looks promising. The fact that they remanded it means I still am good. IMHO

The VA websites are always screwed-up!

  10. I plan on getting a walk -in -tub, hopefully if my appeals ever get through... I need one, as I slip and fall easily. The VA gave me a chair that sits in a shower, but I need the walk in for safety, I have a very difficult time on wet surface and stepping over stuff...

I hope it will happen before I fall again....

  11. My computer is high performance, Windows 10. The scripts on Hadit servers cause my computer to lag with high CPU use. It works with anything needing high performance, like combat flight simulators. Just Win10 can't handle too much scripting and ads. I know it is beyond  the control of Hadit website, as the servers run the ads.

it is very difficult to type in the forums with high CPU usage. FYI

  12. Along with  and necrotizing pancreatitis, I also have thrombosis, and blockages to my heart in the Splenic vein/artery. I suffer from severe numbness in my face, especially in the mornings..

    https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Splenic_infarction

when I was hospitalized, the VA used chemicals to break the clots in the veins and arteries to my heart. They cannot do surgeries because of the disease is bad, I bleed internally if they touch anything near the pancreas. I get really weak on bad days and very numb in my face and limbs. All of this info says it can lead to a stroke if the thrombosis is bad enough, with the numbness. These are on appeal, and still don't have the BVA decision. I d to tell the neurologist the numbness is getting worse. I don't have a GI follow up for a few more months. They are suppose to cat scan the area e months because of disease. Bu I move from the Southwest Pacific Northwest, the VA changed my appointments to 1/2 of what the surgeons told them I needed.

I have a very hard time walking more then a few minutes, or hot weather, doing easy tasks, too hard to clean around the house, hard  to garden. I try, I try to keep busy. The Summer weather just wipes me out, but I can enjoy cold weather. My body doesn't suffer as much when I am cool or cold. If anyone feels any of these symptoms, let them know, at least it will be part of your medical records. I tried telling them time is not on m side, but it not help speed up any claims. They just don't care if you are in horrible health in the claims process. These diseases are in my records. I know I did pit this in the appeal threads. But, for those that are still in the claims process, the info might you.

  13. Had requests for BVA hearing going back to 2009, in another state. I Moved. I started new claims and requests, the latest an 1151, denied, then BVA hearing requested. Had BVA hearing for 1151 (Necrotizing pancreatitis,. failed operations,) too many health problems to list (plus it is a fatal disease, time is not on my side), we asked judge to put all appeals in one.

    Had BVA hearing March 2016.

  14. I there must be a Magic Decoder Ring in in a box of cereal that got lost. I do not understand what Ebenefits keeps writing and changing. Never makes any sense. Different words, phrases, and dates come and go. Like if you put 1,000,000 monkeys on typewriters (computers) there is better chance on an intelligent word being written and understood.

    ==========================

I had  a BVA hearing March 2016 (1151 from 2014). The VA keeps changing dates and in Ebenefits. I just don't understand write.

Plus, I never got a BVA hearing for hearings requested in 2009.

    Status of a pending claim

    Published 07/26/2004 09:01 AM   |    Updated 07/20/2012 02:58 PM

  15. I am having a very hard time with script errors and windows 10 in my posts on the Internet, so frustrating!

Anyways, I got sick on active duty from petroleum chemicals, leaded gas, diesel fuel, Jet fuel, and trichloroethylene...

    I am at 60%.

I have the worst for of pancreas disease before cancer..

Necrotizing pancreatitis and have been in the hospital a lot of times up to 6 months at one time. One side effect of pancreas disease is diabetes and extremely high and low level of nutrients.

I am fighting the effects and have suffered for many years.

I had a BVA hearing in march 2016, and have many claims on appeals,

I wanted to say that I am learning more about my symptoms and the neurologists don't always connect the dots and the VA claim always miss the dots and just rubber stamp deny.

I just had another blood test to check calcium, but I have severe muscle problems and my face and mouth go numb and stay numb for months... I lose control of my muscles. The pancreas is dying, the operations failed and it is totally inoperable.

I have no idea when the BVA decision will come, but still have claims going back 7 years and other claims there were denied 20 years ago. they did give me 60% for chemicals and severe headaches on active duty USAF from chemicals, back in the 1990's.

I am waiting to see what other supplements are issued and prescribed to me, as I take a lot of drugs and supplements because my body no longer makes certain chemicals and doe snot absorb nutrients very well. The fight continues.

    01-01-11_My_Medical_Records.jpg

  16. I just saw this, I had illness form chemicals and was also hospitalized with gastritis on active duty. I was also too sick to work with any chemicals any longer, jet fuel, gasoline, etc.. These and other hospitalizations and medical issues are on my active duty medical records. I spent many years begging the doctors for help telling them I was extremely sick, and was told I was mentally ill and had IBS. I developed a large mass in my intestinal area under my ribs. The doctors told me there was nothing there, After 20 years more pass by, They found a large mass on my pancreas. I went in for surgery and spent the next 6 months fighting for my life with a dying pancreas. inoperable, as they pissed away and time and hope that anything good could be done with my health and life. I was constantly denied as the years went by. I am at 60%, and have a bunch or problems including necrotizing pancreatitis, thrombosis, neurological disease, depression, and more. I finally got a BVA hearing for an 1151, and asked the judge to combine al my other claims which are in never, never land for many years. I even filed telling them that my disease is terminal and inoperable and to please speed up this long wait. They never answer to speeding that up. I even paid for an IMO for toxic chemicals to a doctor who specializes in toxic chemicals, but I have boxes of medical records and she charged $800, plus $600 per 1/2 inch or papers. it would cost a million dollars if I brought in my boxes of medical records.

So, as far as IBS, it's B.S./ term used to say it could be nothing or it could be the worst, IBS only means you are very sick and the doctors either can't find or are not looking properly. I gave them the exact symptoms, and they turned out to be the exact symptoms the medical community sees in pancreas disease, yet they said I was mentally ill and sent me to head doctors telling me to take mind altering drugs, because I was a drug seeker and mentally ill according to their tests. Just saying, 35 years after the first symptoms on active duty and am still waiting for a decision. 2008, 6 months in VA hospital with failed pancreas operations. Records on active duty showing illness and hospitalizations, and they still fight me. Although the BVA hearting decision maybe near. Best bet is to show medical record and show more than IBS, as IBS doesn't mean anything to them except that your suffering and the doctors are clueless. Sorry to take a dig at the VA claims people, but they don't know anything, They just rubber stamp. until proven otherwise. Wish I could take my pancreas disease put it in a needle and give it to the morons who caused me al this grief. Then they could see what it's like to wait for incompetent people to deny, deny until you die, to the same people whop do the denying.

  17.
the VA said they were going to use Final Needle aspiration, but tried to use a stent, but I have necrotizing pancreatitis, so the stents ripped through the rotted flesh and the contents filled my insides and sepsis took over, they tried again and it got even worse, this went on for 6 months... not even morphine helped with the terror and horror of the worst pain ever so bad it would send me unconscious because it was to much for my body to take. often the pain wasn't given fast enough or often enough with shots. The swelling was horrific and the liquid filled the area in my chest around my lungs and have many very long needles pushed between my ribs to drain liquids... more and more went on for 6 months and was unable to drink or eat for 6 months (could only be tube fed into my veins and intestines through a tube), lost almost every muscle, and was a quadriplegic . For many year I told them I was very sick and suffering but was told it was in my head. Now it terminal and inoperable. I had filed disability claims with the Veterans administration, because I originally got sick on active duty working with chemicals, but they denied most of my claims for 20 years. Still waiting for a decision from a hearing I had earlier this year for claims.
