Question
nlualum82
I got a phone call several days ago that informed me of a C & P to come this Friday.
I received the letter a couple of days after.
I have chronic otitis in my left ear which I claimed as a secondary condition.
I lost hearing in the Army (currently rated at 50% (and probably should be 60, based on minimums being exceeded to eliminate the speech recognition, which drops me)
Because of my military hearing loss, I wear hearing aids. The hearing aids irritate my ears. I have been diagnosed with L chronic otitis externa by VA and private Dr.'s alike and submitted documentation upfront.
This claim was the only one I've ever had denied. I was confronted with an examiner who was openly hostile and made a great effort to be a smart-a**. His report had some outright misrepresentations in it, such as that "...since switching to hypoallergenic ear molds he no longer has the problem..."
According to the letter, I'll be seeing the same guy!
Probably not good for my claim, certainly not good for my PTSD.
Gary
