HadIt.com Elder Josephine Posted May 30, 2008 Author HadIt.com Elder Share Posted May 30, 2008 I told you from the start that the IMO provided by your Doctor who knew you in Service was going to win your claim for you. I have seldom seen a Veteran with such good medical evidence get shut out for so long. I have made it a point not to begrudge any Veteran who wins easily I only wish all Veterans with claims could do that but sometimes it rankled me with the Medical Evidence of the symptoms and treatment while in service, a bulletproof IMO and a current diagnosis and treatment the VA jacked me around for 5 and 1/2 years. As a long time member of Hadit I try not to judge anyone's claim but when I see a veteran with good evidence struggle I try as best as I can to offer moral support and faith that the VA eventually will do the right thing. MT Skull who used to post via his wife Kim on Hadit took almost 25 years to win his claim.I think he would still be fighting if Kim did not hire a lawyer for him as a third party and old loophole the VA has since plugged that allowed Family Members to hire a Lawyer. I am especially pleased that you will get a lawyer to finish off your claim. Best Regards Pete Pete, You have a " Great Big Heart". You have been behind me since day one and I will never forget how much you and the gang have came in to push me alone, carry me around and put so much research into my claim. It was a struggle, but someone was always there for me. Always the Best! Betty
HadIt.com Elder john999 Posted May 30, 2008 HadIt.com Elder Share Posted May 30, 2008 Betty Your victory is a victory for all of us. You know if they military and VA did it to you then they did it to thousands of others. They cheat you and besmirch your honor. Then you have to fight back before they change the rules to screw you out of what you earned. I bet with the wave of PTSD claims the VA is going to find some way to block those with mental/emotional claims in the future. Some "Line of Duty" provision or the like. John, I keep my claim posted and alive, so that others reading, may stand a chance of doing as I have and keeping and going right back at them. As Carlie said," If you throw your papers in their face enough, eventually someone will read them". In my case, I kept doing it and fianlly one day someone did. HadIt.com Elder Josephine Posted May 31, 2008 Author HadIt.com Elder Share Posted May 31, 2008 the pleasure is all mine betty - again congratulations and kudos for paying off that mortgage Tbird, Thanks again, for this would have not been possible without your site and all the members who joined in to help me fight this claim. Alone, I couldn't do it, for I had so many on here doing research for me and the caring folks carried me alone and Berta made sure I went for my Independent Medical Opinion. Scared to death to go to D. C. I sure was, but look what the reward was. I just knew that Dr. Crowley was going to be this stuck up snob but he was the most kindest, caring doctor ever. His credentials scared me to death. Pete told me to carry in my pocket the names of the members of Hadit, as I traveled that mountain. I still see me in the rain at the top of the mountain at the look-out saying a prayer for all the names. Jan, I remembered you also. Although you don't post much lately. Again, I will be forever grateful to you and the gang. Always, Betty
JoAnn
Betty, Well congratulations! Instead of a padded room we should do the economy one nighter at the Ritz Carlton and do the aroma therapy thing and get a good back rub! God Bless.
