What Good Is A Poa?

Question

I am wondering if I am asking too much.

The decision on my claim for an Increase and TDIU was made the 8th of

this month.

I found this out from the call number.

In one telephone call to the DAV I did hear this:

It is favorable and you are going to be really really pleased.

I was ask to drop my claim for headaches which was in Apppeals,

I did this.

I have called and called and ask my POA the DAV

in Huntington, West Va. to please walk over and pick up a copy

or let me know something like some ratings, what date if

awarded TDIU.

I called the Virginia DAV and they called the Rater in Huntington,

but they would not tell them anything, since they were in a different

state.

I have been told countless times, I will go get a copy and call

you back, this does not happen.

Was or is there any need for any POA and what do they do for veterans

who are already in the system.

Thanks,

Betty

Betty, tell the DAV to actually read the claim that is on his desk. He is supposed to put a decision in your file.

Dont let them tell you to drop anything. Down the road that can be a big step in getting a SMC award like the S award or 100 percent plus 60.

Hang in there.

Email the DAV reps Name. I may be able to reach out and touch him.

A Veteran is a person who served this country. Treat them with respect.

A Disabled Veteran is a person who served this country and bears the scars of that service regardless of when or where they served.

Treat them with the upmost respect. I do. Rejection is not a sign of failure. Failure is not an option, Medical opinions and evidence wins claims. Trust in others is a virtue but you take the T out of Trust and you are left with Rust so be wise about who you are dealing with.

My power of attorney with a Veteran service organization was worthless, he even messed up the initial paperwork.

My poa is now with my VA claims attorney.

When I count my blessings I count my family and friends twice.

If you don't know where you are going, any road will get you there.

Well done is better than well said.

John,

I sent an email to the Huntington Regional Office to withdraw the

headache claim.

The rep didn't say why to drop it and being sick of the mess, I did

it.

Somehow the VA has placed in their minds Chronic Anxiety with

Headaches.

My original claim was for Chronic Anxiety and Headaches.

When I was denied in 2004, the Both New and Material Evidence was to

re-open both claims, chronic anxiety and headaches.

chronic anxiety was re-opened and the headaches

was not.

Thanks John,

Betty

Paul,

I have yet to find one worth two cents.

I have never gave them any control of my claims.

What ever I have to say, I say it myself.

I thought with a new one, perhaps this one would at least get off

their behind and walk across the hall to the VA and tell me the

decision.

No more of this for me either.

The VA knows what I want. I want 100% at least back to 1992.

I want them to pay me the 11 years retro for my husband and then

I want a complete copy of my C-file.

thanks ,

Betty
