How Many Days Does The Va Have To Set Up A C&p After You Submit A Claim

Question

I submitted a claim for my lower back after being diagnoised with scoliosis, that was mid october i even called in November to see if i was getting a C&P, well now i get a letter from the VA saying will see mid Dec,...this is such bullsh*t i've had a claim pending since May 2008, my frustration with the VA is now getting to that point. I now see what some of you older Vets mean by "they'll screw u if they can". And i would not even want to know what was done before computers.....sweet christ that must have been a mess. I know some of you have waited so much longer i just hate being jerked around. I do all the leg work even double check things, only for the VA to blow smoke.

They say 6 month is the going time frame, but I waited over a year for C&P's to be set up. I was rudely denied filed NOD for a "Traditional Hearing" 10 months later I added my foot I wanted to add it to the claim originally but was afraid of what could happen to my claim. Just a little over 2 weeks of filing my foot I received a C&P noticed......But I have to say I received the C&P for my foot so promptly because the VA was wanting to rate my whole claim.....6 to 8 month at best waiting at "BEST" for a new claim...

if your a gwot vet your claim is to be expedited, so that is wrong i know that much about afgan/iraq vets. So from 2007 of Dec a year later going on 13months is unsat.

yeah thats what they tell me, and you know what its bull to even find out anything because the phone service with the VA is the worst. they never know what's going on with your claim and there best answer is there still working on it. ahhhh found it the VA is supposed to have you set for a C&P within 30 days of when the claim gets to the RO. it used to be 60.

It took 'em FOUR years for my first C&P! FOUR years after I filed my claim......uh-huh!

I filed.

They denied.

I NOD'd.

They DRO'd and denied.

I appealed.

They BVA'd.

They AMC'd.

They REMANDED to RO and SUGGESTED to the RO that I might need a C&P!

6 months after that, I got a C&P.

SPEEEEED OF LIGHT, I TELL YA!

WHY, they did it SOOOOO FAST I got a crick in my neck trying to follow it!

or maybe I got soooo old waitin' that my neck just atrophied in place......

think I oughta file a claim on my neck????

somethin' about AGGRAVATION......

"It is cold and we have no blankets.

The little children are freezing to death.

My people, some of them, have run away to the hills, and have no blankets, no food; no one knows where they are-perhaps freezing to death.

I want to have time to look for my children and see how many of them I can find.

Maybe I shall find them among the dead.

Hear me, my chiefs! I am tired; my heart is sick and sad.

From where the sun now stands, I will fight no more forever."
