surprised to this i thought ecstasy screwed up your serotonin permanently, i would want to see test results and what kind of side effects come up, i hope they test it for a decent amount of time before they start handing it out to veterans.

I didn't know if this had been on here yet or not... I searched a couple of places on here and didn't see it. Might be of interest to many on here.

It is a new study on the drug Ecstasy being a treatment for PTSD

I am writing my memoirs and would love it if you could help a shipmate out and look at it.

I've had a few challenges, perhaps the same as you. I relate them here to demonstrate that we can learn, overcome, and find purpose in life.

The stories can be harrowing to read; they were challenging to live. Remember that each story taught me something I would need once I found my purpose, and my purpose was and is HadIt.com Veterans.

They love to test risky stuff on Veterans

Veterans deserve real choice for their health care.

They used to do the risky stuff on institutionalized mental patients. Now they don't have that population to test so they use veterans. Maybe they will start doing lobotomies on vets to cure PTSD. They did that in the past.

This will not help the VET w/ PTSD! Somebody must notify VA if that CNET news is for real...

http://www.drugs.1emallway.com/depression/ecstasy.htm

** Ecstasy does not cure depression on the long term though, and Ecstasy may actually aid in furthering the depression. If you are severely depressed it is not a good idea to use ecstasy. Ecstasy does have many potentially damaging effects.

We know this....but does the VA? This news story/study has been lurking around for several months. We can only hope that the VA has more than 2 brain cells to rub together on this one.

Just be wary of any new "miracle cures" offered by your docs........
