From Personality Disorder To Adjustment Disorder

I was honorably discharged from the navy in october, 1983 for personality disorder of mixed schizoid and schizotypal features. in november, 1983 i filed a claim for mental disorder. in may, 1985 i had my c & p exam and was diagnosed with adjustment disorder but they said it was non-compensable which was true. was i service connected at that time? in 2000, i reopened my claim and was told the same thing, you have adjustment disorder which is non-compensable. well, as of 11-7-96 it had become compensable. should the va had given me a percentage in 2000? did they make an error and would this be a reason to file a cue claim? if so, what is the best way to do one? do you fill out a certain form and send it to a certain person at the varo? i will be very grateful for any advice and opinions on this matter. thank you!

Pete - you are correct-

I was asked Friday to send Office of Communications VACO in DC a copy of a letter I sent to the Sec and other documents- by fax -regarding a significant complaint I filed against 3 VARO employees.

I called today because my phone was so busy Friday the man could not call me back to verify he got it-

today he said it was hand delivered to Sec Shenseki's office and in a few days the PC will have an acknowledgement code number for it.He delivered it himself Friday.

I then faxed this status of my complaint to the Buffalo VARO Fax number for the director-

but of course dont know if it went through- I just caught the beep from my fax and it seemed to-

If I use Fax Zero - I always get confirmation and this is free - 2 faxes at a time.Available on the net.

But this is new Fax I have- my old one had a way that I could find the fax queue and see they were sent-

don't the new faxes have anything like this?

Vync-I dont know- all the stuff on the 1990s they said they never got from me-

was put back into my C file prior to 2003.

BTW I dont do PMs and emails -had PM open briefly for another reason-

Look for a transmission history feature in your fax machine. Depending on the quality of the machine, you should get a list of each transmission, including nickname/number, page count, date/time, incoming/outgoing, and status. The manufacturers have started to bury these features deep in sub-menus of the communications menus. If you are not sure how to access it, please post the make/model of your fax and we might be able to look up an online reference manual. If you bought it recently, they may have toll free support. Only problem is you never know what country you will be routed to.

Thanks a lot! I just decided to read the HP fax help topic and found out how I could get a transmission verified.

My old fax had a Booklet with it-

this one-a HP new model -is wonderful but the help topic is very detailed and long- but I found exactly what I was missing to do.

A number of years ago I was asked to fax info to the VA in Oklahoma to help get my oldest son verified for Chapter 35 and this is what I found out. The fax machine was hooked up and verified the transmission but they had not put paper in the fax for over 4 months and yet they were giving the number and asking for faxes. I should have reported them to the IG
