mags1023
I appealed my decision in early 2007 and accepted a travel board, regional board or BVA. It has been over 3 1/2 years and I have yet to hear anything. When I call the 800 or send an IRIS, they continue to show my appeal active, so I know it is there. I'm just wondering how long it will take. I am in the St Petersburgh/Bay Pines, FL region. Does anyone have a ball park time that it is taking this region to hear appeals?? Carlie?? I know you are in the same wonderful region.....any ideas? Hopefully, my VA retroactive savings account is growing with each month. Thank you, Mags1023
Rockhound
Carlie: Four years at the "BVA", my word, I have been kicking things around whether to file a new claim on and old issue. but being afraid that a current claim in the local appeals process would slow up its decision. At this point, hearing how long I could possibly be waiting, It has help me decide to go ahead with the filling of this new claim for old issue, so I can at least preserve my effective date. Four years, my word! Can't something be done to get them off their rear ends and get them working on your claim? Times up on this VA computer, so I'm off to do my grocery shopping. Boy howdy, I can do a lot of shopping during that four year wait. LoL Rockhound Rider
mrsvet28
I wonder if the longer the appeal takes, means that it has a better chance of being approved.. maybe if you get rejected it takes less time because you don't go through as many hoops.. but if you get approved, it means you went through so many hoops, it takes a longer time.. just thinking,, waiting sucks.. OPENED CLAIM 98- DRO 06=BVA 07-REMAND / DECISION END OF 09' OH YEAH AND DONT GET EXCITED WHEN YOU SEE THE WORD "EXPEDITIOUSLY" IN YOUR VA LETTERS-- IT DOESNT MEAN SWIFTLY!!!!
