I cant believe it- the check came today.

REPS Restored Entitlement Program-

explained in the DIC forum.

I filed for this in January 1995.

I dealt directly with REPS in ST Louis because someone at 800 told me they had a note on their PC NOT to send me the REPS app.when I won direct SC death last April.

I first figured that was because they still have my original app.

Then I learned the app had changed and they didn't send it to me- hoping I would not apply in a different way or hoping maybe I would forget they owed me this benefit.

I never even knew of it until I started buying the VBM in 1991.

My former REPS never heard of it at all.

WE HAVE TO be aware of what benefits are due to us-otherwise we can lose out on them.

GRADUATE ! Nov 2nd 2007 American Military University !

When thousands of Americans faced annihilation in the 1800s Chief

Osceola's response to his people, the Seminoles, was

simply "They(the US Army)have guns, but so do we."

Sameo to us -They (VA) have 38 CFR ,38 USC, and M21-1- but so do we.

Berta,

That's wonderful news for a most deserving person, congratulations

Bergie

As a combat veteran, or any veteran for that matter!!!

If you thought the fighting was over when you came home, got out, or when the politicians said it was over.

Welcome to the real fight, welcome to VA claims!!!

That's fantastic! I'm so glad for you!

Congrats

My intentions are to help, my advice maybe wrong, be your own advocate and know what is in your C-File and the 38 CFR that governs your disabilities and conditions.

Do your own homework. No one knows the veteran’s symptoms like the veteran. Never Give Up.

I do not give my consent for anyone to view my personal VA records.

Good for you Berta. Way to hang with it.

J

A Veteran is a person who served this country. Treat them with respect.

A Disabled Veteran is a person who served this country and bears the scars of that service regardless of when or where they served.

Treat them with the upmost respect. I do. Rejection is not a sign of failure. Failure is not an option, Medical opinions and evidence wins claims. Trust in others is a virtue but you take the T out of Trust and you are left with Rust so be wise about who you are dealing with.
