Question

Last month I was approved By the SSDI for PTSD, and back injury.

The back injury is Non-Service connected.

The PTSD is in appeal and I just recived an appointment for C&P for PTSD on Nov 17th.

I am currently 40% combined service connected at 10% Hypertension, 30% Kidney Stones.

My question is should I wait for a decision following my C&P on the PTSD........or should I go ahead and file for TDIU now

Or do I even stand a chance to get TDIU

I have been unemployed for over 2 yrs now because of my PTSD

If you mention the back injury the VA is going to say that is why you can't work. Get SC'ed for PTSD and then file for IU. You need evidence that you can't work due solely to the PTSD. Never mention your back injury in any claim for compensation with the VA.

I agree w/john999 on the back injury. Any mention of the back injury and the VA will claim that's why you can't work, but I disagree on filing for TDIU, as I would do that ASAP. Why wait?
