Just received Brown envelop today awarded sc for death and DIC back to 2003. The claim was on appeal and is now being returned to the WS RO for disposition. Does anyone have an idea how long this process will take? The lady said that because of the amount of the award it would take several signatures to authorize. The claim has not been sent back yet. Does the 10-40 days apply to my case?

Sandra,

Congrats on fighting the good fight and coming out on top.

The RO will need plenty of time to check some things out and

put it through authorization and notification.

Hang in there - the money will come.

NO - DO NOT COUNT on any 10-40 days, that's only an average of

some things.

Nothing is really average or you wouldn't have had this big ordeal to go through

to begin with.

You're going to have plenty of money, people may start popping out of the

wood work asking for financial help - be very cautious.

Many times what you loan, you will never see again, so spend it wisely.

One of my motto's is,

"My business is not required to be everyone's business".

Example, it's one thing to let other's know you finally won but what ever the dollar

amount of retro you get - is not their business, neither is the monthly amount you receive.

Sometimes people get jealous and money surely makes some people do some crazy things.

Congrats, and Carlie is right. I have an Uncle whom retired a millionaire and if he hears about other people getting money he will call them up and demand his share. Very sick person, but they exist.
