Yes- the Regional counsel picked up the error when I re- opened in 2003 and VA sent me 28 thousand to correct it but I went over the rate charts and it was still wrong so I told them and and they sent 11 thousand more- When we get large retro amounts it is easy to put it all aside and then fail to check their math.I had questioned this error prior to the RC telling the RO to pay me, but I really didn't follow through on it and if I had not re-opened the VA would still have 40 thou of my money. This is GREAT news !!!!!USMC 1015 The historic rate charts start at Dec- so they are for the year following the Dec amount at the VA web site.
