Question

I have a claim for a veteran in Phoenix for adjudication. Phoenix sent it to Seattle for adjudication!! I have a claim for a veteran in San Diego and his claim was sent to Denver to get worked!! What the hey is this all about? Do they keep shuffling the paperwork around until we die? These claims are from 2009 and are in the last phase, I just do not understand this. Then they wonder why you want to go out and tattoo someone's butt!!

I am so sorry to hear of your frustrations of this claim process. I have 1 claim for reconsideration and another for A NOD as well.. By looking at the Monday morning reports, input from IRIS, 800#, and my local DAV service officer it could be a very long time. It says they have over 21,000 claims pending. over 70 % past the 120 period. I was told since AZ has a very large population of retired Veterans(they must like the weather) that is 1 reason. The other was they have 2 claims offices there backed up. One for regular claims, and the other doing the mandatory court ordered agent orange claims, they are expecting once the agent orange claims are finished to get back on track.

All I can do now is to try to keep patient and put this matter into the back of my mind knowing that some day it will be approved. And when it does, a very nice Retro!!

Actually they are trying to make specialists to process claims faster but instead they are sending up the line to bigger goof offs like the AMC

Looks like this is happening everywhere. I live in Maine, I have a claim in Togus. Was told months ago it may be sent to Philly because Maine is back logged on AO claims. Called the 1-800 # and found out it's in Maryland. Has been in the Decision phase since April but was told it just arrived back in Maryland the 4th of August with an avarage waiting time of 135 days, crazy.
