The letter is excellent.

PTSD should definitely be the primary diagnosis- in my lay person's opinion- based on my experience working with a PTSD group at a vet center and being the widow of a 100% PTSD combat vet.

"He denies re-experiencing the traumatic event in terms of recurrent recollections"

Yet in the very next continuation sentence she states: "The claimant demonstrates avoidance of stimuli associated with the trauma by His efforts to avoid activities, places or people that arouse recollections of the event and these actions continue to persist".

That is VA double talk. 'Flashbacks' (a term the VA hasn't used since the 1990s ) can be almost subliminal if not a fully conscious repetition of the essence of a traumatic event. The avoidance efforts are the same result for anything that stimulates the memory of the event.

For my husband it could be a smell, any loud sound, or sight, taste, rain,thunder, any movement in the distance of tractors or even livestock,

and even when he finally got all his ribbons / medals ( he filed for a DD 215 and there was stuff on it he didn't know he had received) seeing one of the ribbons brought him into a sudden deep depression and anger.(ribbon for PUC)

I have spent hours on making a post - and then somehow wiped it out,

very frustrating.

Someone taught me to type some things into a PDF word processor program first and then

saving it and post the whole thing at one time as a copy and paste. That really helps me.

I am editing to add that in the last 2 weeks I am positive I spent AT LEAST 100 hours

compiling what I wanted to provide copies of to my C&P examiner.

The examiner did not look at it or accept it - but that's OK, the exam went good.

So sorry to hear that after all that work, you got little in return for the paper you produced. Could the materials be used later in the process?? Same thing happened to me a few weeks ago at the QTC appointment.

Sure - if the denial should continue and I have to move up to the CAVC level.

But - I do not feel this will have to happen.
