Berta
I take 2 Nordic balanced Omega combo gels every day. $20.10 at amazon for 180 soft gels (500 mg) Had my cholestrol checked last month and my triglycerides , etc were perfect. These have no after taste at all. I take a swig of liquid CO210 every day too. And Vitamin D-3 as part of an osteo nutrient from Vital. No bad taste at all. CHAMPVA does not cover these supplements but I feel the cost is minimal when compared to the benefits. GRADUATE ! Nov 2nd 2007 American Military University ! When thousands of Americans faced annihilation in the 1800s Chief Osceola's response to his people, the Seminoles, was simply "They(the US Army)have guns, but so do we." Sameo to us -They (VA) have 38 CFR ,38 USC, and M21-1- but so do we.

justrluk
Could you share your HDL/LDL? Also, have you had any issues with triglycerides? Mine were 640, and the doc said I should be taking fish oil plus niaspan (prescription niacin). Limbo is status quo for the VARO.

HadIt.com Elder john999 Posted February 16, 2012 HadIt.com Elder Share Posted February 16, 2012 Fish oil is good but not as good as a statin I think. I went from total cholesterol of about 270 to 160 total with a dose of generic statin Zocor.
