Question

First let me state I realize there will be many thought on this, so I am just tring to figure out if there is anything I can do or should do at this point and time.

My claim is in it 18th month, filed Sept of 2010, and is still sitting in gathering evidence, however my last C&Ps were done the first week in January this year, so just know reach 90 days. What is the thought of the members, not looking to slow things down any, but it does not look as if it could go any slower!!

Thanks

18 months these days is not only not unusual- but many here have waited years.

, "so I am just tring to figure out if there is anything I can do or should do at this point and time."

Go over the VCAA letter they sent quite some time ago and see if there is any evidence they asked for that you have not sent to them yet.

Request a copy of the C & P exam from the VAMC where it took place.

The exam results will give you some idea of what to expect.

If you had private medical records, pertinent to the claim, does VA know that and have they requested them yet?

I regret it takes so long.

You could send VA an email via the Contact Us link at the main VA web site (IRIS) asking the status and if there is anything else they need from you.

Sameo to us -They (VA) have 38 CFR ,38 USC, and M21-1- but so do we.

My last claim took over a year just to get a C/P exam... I remember when claims were decided in less than a year ( 1999).. those days are gone.. now it seems 2 years is the norm.
