hedgey
I checked DH's ebenefits again a few minutes ago. I'd posted earlier that it was in the Pendiing Decision Approval section. So tonight it says Status Information Unavailable. Uh oh, I thought. Not good. Glitch or problem with claim. Not good. But just for a lark, I checked his Download VA Letters section. There they were. The Commissary Letter. The DEERS ID Card Letter. I printed the Benefits Letter. It says that he's 100%. the Commissary one says that "this total disability is considered permanent". I'm speechless. He's downstairs watching The Outlaw Josey Wales. I can't decide whether to show him or not. I can't sit still, but I don't want to jump the gun and set him up for a disappointment. I've printed all the letters out, but I know there could be a mistake. I don't know what to think. I have my Hadit-skies to tell about this, and to tell me what this means...? Let us be kind, one to another, for we are each of us together in our pain.
AFMedic09
That is AWESOME news! I can't think of any reason why that paperwork would be there--if it wasn't his. WOW. God is GOOD! :) So glad for you all! 1 John 4:
#1Cavtrooper
With the letters it seems legit, but you'll know for sure when the brown envelope arrives. Here's an early "Congratulations" either way! Btw, when did he file? Why arrive at the grave relatively unscaithed, rather than to skid in sideways yelling "Holy Crap! What a Ride!"
HadIt.com Elder jbasser Posted March 30, 2012 HadIt.com Elder Share Posted March 30, 2012 Your OK. Tell him. This is legit so enjoy your victory and take a vacation. Basser A Veteran is a person who served this country. Treat them with respect. A Disabled Veteran is a person who served this country and bears the scars of that service regardless of when or where they served. Treat them with the upmost respect. I do. Carl the Engineer
If it was me and I was watching The Outlaw Josey Wales, you'd better wait for a commercial. Ha, ha. Enjoy you win, and the letters always came before the confirmation in my cases. Well done, Hamslice “There is no hook my friend.
