Keep up the good work Terry.

A Veteran is a person who served this country. Treat them with respect.

A Disabled Veteran is a person who served this country and bears the scars of that service regardless of when or where they served.

Treat them with the upmost respect. I do. Rejection is not a sign of failure. Failure is not an option, Medical opinions and evidence wins claims. Trust in others is a virtue but you take the T out of Trust and you are left with Rust so be wise about who you are dealing with.

Friend of mine, in country Viet Nam vet, never wanted to file a claim, no health problems. Long story short, he had open heart surgery in Ann Arbor by the VA. Triple bypass, etc. He filed his claim and got 10%. I explained to him the process used by the VA called LOW BALLING.

Well we got busy and the envelope came with his new rating. 80% with 50% rating for PTSD plus some smaller ratings. Now it's time to file for TDIU.

I consider this win a victory for our HADIT family as this board gives us the knowledge we need to help our veteran family. Thanks to you all. Terry

what does TDIU stand for?

TDIU = Total Disability due to Individual Unemployability.

this link pretty much explains it:

Chuck, he did receive the temp 100% for the surgery and recovery time. Just got a nice retro deposit for the 80%. Life is good.
