Inthewind
I was just gonna ask the same question. Checking for the future because I'm a CURRENT federal employee, retired for years veteran, and the way retired veterans are treated when it comes to CRSC/CRDP and retro pay alone, is enough of a crime...but to have to potentially have to deal with that crap again when I become a federal retiree?!?!?! I can't even begin to think about it!! And Papa, I think you and I crossed paths at QTC in San Antonio just recently. Were you there in May/June time frame for a C&P maybe? The office on 410? Inthewind
Going on 2 1/2 months waiting on the remainder of retro. The audit by DFAS was completed and sent back to the VARO on 15 October. Initial adjudication on Sept 1st with partial retro the same date. So, 6 weeks for the DFAS audit???? Did they do a bunch of backlog before the election and now that its over they're sitting on their hands again??
Rob m
Maybe my situation is unique, but I am still waiting. This may be hard to believe, but I received my awad letter 26, July 2011 and I still have not received my money. I have checked ebenefits, talked to the 1-800 people everything, I don't know where my money is or why I haven't been paid. So while some on this board will tell you 30-60 days, I'm here to thell you, depending on complications, you may be in my boat waiting 16+ months with no news or information in sight. robvaner
I received my award from 40% to 80% March 15 and DFAS did their audit and then I received my retro from them April 15 and then the VA did their audit and I received my retro from them a week later. I guess I was lucky to get paid so quick. Rob m, is it possible that you owe the government money? They can take your retro pay if you owe back taxes or you owe the government money period. Not to say that you owe them anything but keep asking questions and if you have a VSO, have them help you out.
