Its a great feeling to have fought for my country in two wars and to know that our great nation has helped me heal some of my wounds. After years of appeals..., from the RO appeal, to DRO, all the way up to BVA, I was finally awarded my case this past June and the retro has finaly hit the bank. I worked so hard for this, fought them with everything I have, and has never given up. Bottom line, they were wrong and I proved it. They blatantly had the wrong dates. I am so emotional right now, so relief, so joyful, and happy that a large chunk of this will go to my kids and help them in their future. Daddy left you and went off to war and came back a different person, yes this nation owes you too. The only thing left in my case to get P&T. I am going to treat my fhe family to dinner tonight and get my car fix. Wait, its enough to buy a brand new Corvette today.... Nah. Just kidding. Tempting though. God Bless you good people! I was awarded partial retro in August and have not gotten retro yet, so I am hoping before Christmas? It sounds like 4 months to the VA is "expiditious processing".
