I am writing my memoirs and would love it if you could help a shipmate out and look at it.

I've had a few challenges, perhaps the same as you. I relate them here to demonstrate that we can learn, overcome, and find purpose in life.

The stories can be harrowing to read; they were challenging to live. Remember that each story taught me something I would need once I found my purpose, and my purpose was and is HadIt.com Veterans.

Congrats Abbie if you are not working right now you should request TDIU. This would pay at 100% and if permanent allow additonal benefits.

Welcome to posting.

Veterans deserve real choice for their health care.

Thank you all for the well wishes and advice on TDIU. I don't know anything about it yet, but will look into it now.

I received my brown envelope last week. I received a fair rating on all but my GYN issue. Not looking foward to appealing that one either, the C&P they sent me to the first time knew less about my conditions than I did. Not a good time, at all. I know I have 30 days though, and will likely take my chances and fight again.

I am confused by one thing though: my letter breaks down my combined 90% award and states the fact that I will begin receiving those payments on December 1st, but just last week (the same day I received my envelope) I received a random $1050 deposit from the VA that eBenefits lists as "retro pay". I couldn't get anyone on the phone over the long holiday weekend to explain why I received this amount when my retro should go back to March 1st of this year. (?) My letter states nothing about this $1050 "retro" deposit either. Any clue what they're up to? Hopefully I can get someone on the phone this week.

Thanks again for your help.

Abbie
