rpowell01
Both offer 10% discount for all their items to all veterans. All you need to do is show your VA card to them. I was discounted just the other day whenever my dad told me about it...He said that Ace Hardeware also discounts 10%.... Pete53
vet12
I was just at Home Depot and was told they now limit the 10% max at $50.00 on a $500.00 purchase. vet12
carlie
I was just at Home Depot and was told they now limit the 10% max at $50.00 on a $500.00 purchase. vet12 They told you wrong it's for purchases up to $2,000.00 for a maximum discount of $200.00. Lowe's is up to $5,000.00 for a maximum discount of $500.00. I would ask for a manager if told differently. Carlie passed away in November 2015 she is missed. vet12
I was told this was new policy. Maybe it differs in different parts of the country?? vet12
HadIt.com Elder jbasser Posted November 7, 2013 HadIt.com Elder Share Posted November 7, 2013 No That discount comes from Corporate HQ. Don't let disrespectful little idiots tell you something different. They tried it with me last year. Wrong answer. J A Veteran is a person who served this country. Treat them with respect. A Disabled Veteran is a person who served this country and bears the scars of that service regardless of when or where they served. Treat them with the upmost respect. I do. Rejection is not a sign of failure. Failure is not an option, Medical opinions and evidence wins claims. Trust in others is a virtue but you take the T out of Trust and you are left with Rust so be wise about who you are dealing with.
Notorious Kelly
Vet- you definitely will get different answers from different employees.and regions - I spent no small amount of time at both stores traveling the country. Last week was first time in local Lowes - when I asked at customer service about vet discount she gave me rambling answer of how they only advertise it 3 times a year. I had to ask repeatedly "But you honor it every day?" before she said yes. Neither store lists their veterans' discount on their website, which would help clear up confusion amongst employees/regions. But- hats off to most of them for honoring it without too many hoops. p.s. since Lowes kinda ticked me off I made my purchases at Home Depot and was given discount without question.
