71M10
Greetings all: while doing some research I came accross this CRS report. You may find it handy due to the footnotes that cite the CFR, M21, other reports and VA publications ect. http://www.fas.org/sgp/crs/misc/R42609.pdf Best regards,

0 justrluk
I read this and as I'm still in process of resolving a remand, I learned why the VARO set up a C&P for a minor issue mentioned in the remand. They can grant slices (low hanging fruit in this case) of the remand while in the process of gathering the required evidence for other issues on remand - thus ending that particular issue's existence as an appealed issue. At least, that was the way I read the process in this document.
0 K9MAL
Reading through that definitely helped me understand the process better. Thank you!
0 HadIt.com Elder john999 Posted April 6, 2014 HadIt.com Elder Share Posted April 6, 2014 If a vet never receives a decision letter with appeal rights etc on a claim where does the claim stand? If you don't get a decision letter how do you know when and if to file your NOD? The VA sent one of my decision letters to the wrong address and it was returned "address unknown". This was in my C-File some place that my lawyer found. John
