Even though I am housebound VA says I live too close for fee base. Much of what the VA offers is just on paper. My VA is spreading out but even farther away from my home. When you have a large metro area you need more than just one facility in one particular part of town. If the VA is going to stick with the VA type system then they need many clinics so nobody in a large metro area is more than 5 to 10 miles from a facility.
