    Have Questions? Get Answers.

Tips on posting on the forums.

    1. Post a clear title like ‘Need help preparing PTSD claim’ or “VA med center won’t schedule my surgery instead of ‘I have a question.

    2. Knowledgeable people who don’t have time to read all posts may skip yours if your need isn’t clear in the title.
I don’t read all posts every login and will gravitate towards those I have more info on.

    3. Use paragraphs instead of one massive, rambling introduction or story.

Again – You want to make it easy for others to help. If your question is buried in a monster paragraph, there are fewer who will investigate to dig it out.

    Leading too:

exclamation-point.pngPost straightforward questions and then post background information.

    Examples:

    • Question A. I was previously denied for apnea – Should I refile a claim?
      • Adding Background information in your post will help members understand what information you are looking for so they can assist you in finding it.
Rephrase the question: I was diagnosed with apnea in service and received a CPAP machine, but the claim was denied in 2008. Should I refile?

    • Question B. I may have PTSD- how can I be sure?
      • See how the details below give us a better understanding of what you’re claiming.
Rephrase the question: I was involved in a traumatic incident on base in 1974 and have had nightmares ever since, but I did not go to mental health while enlisted. How can I get help?

This gives members a starting point to ask clarifying questions like “Can you post the Reasons for Denial of your claim?”

How Do You Get A Copy Of Ves C&p Exam Reports?

Navy04

Question

I know that it was mentioned here before, but I don't remember. I had my C&Ps last week thru a VES clinic. Do those Exam reports show up on MyHealthEVet, or where do I get the reports? Thanks in advance

US,

The C&P from a contracted provider, is not really a part of your records until after a decision has been rendered.

You might find it quite difficult to get a copy before that.

Thanks Tom, but no one is able to View C&P exam reports on MyHealthEVet if the exams were at a VES clinic. This was my third claim, but 1st that exams were held at VES. I have had an account on MyHealthEVet for the last 2 years. Thanks again

Try medical records at your VAMC check with them you can request your medical records with them..I think the VA does everything by computer and your last 4.

I had a comp&pen and week later went and got copies at the VAMC where I had my c & p exam.

beings everything is on the computer I would think you could get the copies!

Those exams, the ones outsourced and done by VA's hired guns, QTC and VES are not going to be available until after a decision is made on your claim and then only by a FOIA request. God forbid you should see the lies they sometimes write before a decision is made. That would put you closer to equal footing with the VA. JMHO

arng11,

You are right bud. Since my claim has completed, I am going to go by the records dept next time I am at the VA and see if they can find and print them for me.

My current FDC claim just went to Prep for Decision on 12/22. I don't know if that is a good or bad thing as this claim is only 2 months old. What irritates the hell out of me is that bottom of status page it states" Below is new and material evidence that we did not receive from you for previously denied lower back pain", WTH!!! I uploaded all my evidence a month ago thru Ebenefits and I even mailed it to the VA Intake Evidence Center. This is what happened with my last FDC claim a few months ago. The VA claimed they never received my medical evidence, yet I have the print out where it states what date and time that it was infact uploaded onto the Ebenefits site. I am so tired of us Vets going the extra mile, just for the VA to pull this bull crap on us. Sorry for the rant guys, God Bless and hope all you great Vets and supporters have a Good Christmas.

. I'd be careful with that. By regs and law any request from the VA for evidence or information must be done be in writing. Ebenefits is not a proper channel for the VA to ask for information, Especially if you have a VSO or Rainmaker. The updates for the request can be on there but the hard copy request has to have been sent by mail. Also they must permit you adequate time to respond, typically 30 day suspense limit. Others can chime in if I am incorrect. Edited by ArNG11 (see edit history)

The VA did mail a letter and it was for a 30 day notice which ended Dec 20. Thanks for the info

I haven't experience this myself. I did submit a FDC claim electronically and right now it states a complete date of Feb2016. Also the new gimmick if you submit a new claim while having an existing claim open the close out the oldest claim and lump all the conditions to one new claim. I think it is just a smokescreen to get their numbers up like others have posted here.

Back on point. If that is the case, I would send the evidence you submitted along with a copy of the verification page of the submitted information that has the submittal date on it. They can choke on their own system. As long as you have proof that you submitted the information when you say you did you should be golden.

I have noticed a few things here lately. With eBenefits, the FDC process, and electronically submitting documents, its seems the VA is still up to the same old tricks. Denying they ever got a submission of evidence, even though there is an electronic receipt of submission. Asking a claimant for information or evidence without going through their elected representative or power of attorney first. Manipulating appointments in the 30 day appointment cue. Hmm. I don't know. If it looks like a fish and swims like a fish, and eats like a fish, then it MUST BE A TURD. * FISH*

Some things just don't change. Heh Navy04. Remember the C&P won't be in your medical records at your local VAMC unless it was performed there. Since it wasn't and done by the hired guns you have to wait until the decision is made on your claim. At that point I would submit a FOIA request for a copy of your C file. However, if your Regional office is nearby you can pay them a visit and ask for a copy of that specific exam or schedule a time to review your c file, either way you can have access to it then and get the information you are needing. I actually had no C&P exams with this current FDC. I put in to reopen my lower back pain, which has been denied twice so far, even though I am currently seeing Civilian Chiro Doc that VA fee based out, WTH. Put in for increase or TBI/Migraines and resubmitted DBQ that VA did not look at during my last claim. The rest are 5 secondary conditions to PTSD, Migraines and Crohn's Disease. Kind of worries me that this claim has moved so fast, and no exams. I guess we will see
