Who Will Know First

Hi again. I was wondering....after my claim is done being rated, who will know first. The 800#, me, texas vet commision who I'm using or nobody...it will just sit there on a desk and wait to grow legs and walk to my house. Thanks again

You will be the last to know. Call the 800 number and call you VSO. Your VSO should know before you.

I called the 800# and found out. I then called my SO and informed him. He said hold on and let me check it out. Comes back on the line and , your right. He had no idea. Got the letter about 2 weeks later.

When I got rated the only notification I got was from the DAV. It has been about six weeks and I still haven't gotten anything in the mail. The 1-800 told me that I had been rated but nothing more.

The DAV distric director called me and told me about the decision but put in this disclaimer "Nothing is for sure until after you receive the actual brown envelope from the VA".

I should clarify that all other decisions on my claims came to me via regular mail. He called me when I reached the 100% T&P level. I would imagine it is easier to call one of us when the decision is favorable. Good luck on your claim. Terry Sturgis

I was called by rating officer. I was paid in 10 days after that.
