I bet the VA has made more errors on SMC entitlements than we will ever know. My SMC 1151award went back to 1992 but only up to 1994, when they caused my husband's death..... That is they paid what seems to be 6 months and then no further retro....the CUE I filed on that on that,per call from my VARO last week is now going 'fast'..whatever that means. Even my former vet rep knew something was odd about the 1998 decision I cued but he advised me not to file NOD because 1151s are handled differently than regular claims. He was wrong.
