20% Disabled Id Card?

Hello,

I have searched and searched for an answer to this question but there just doesn't seem to be one out there so I will ask here.

How do I get some kind of ID card proving 20% disability? Everytime I try to use a veterans discount for something they ask for an ID card. I am talking about trivial things of course like discounts at Lowe's for instance.

if you go to ebenefits there is a section there for Documents you can pull up a Document from the VA stating your service connected and for the amount you could keep that letter on you I think it would work.

Can you get a VA ID card, or VIC card, if you are 10% rated though? That's me so far. Just wondering.

I was able to get a Vic card just for being enrolled in the VA healthcare system, even before I was SC'd at 10%.

Each Lowes store has a printout that shows the acceptable IDs for military discounts. You can ask them to please review this if they deny your ID.

speaking of IDs, I am 45 minutes away from closest military base and commisary...is it even worth getting the ID card...how much of a discount is the commisary compared to companies that offer discounts for vets?
