Va Billing My Federal Employee Health Benefits Plan

PR, When you say private insurance? Does this include Federal Health Insurance? I thought anything concerning the Veteran past 50% SC was covered by the VA. Anything past 100% TDIU P&T would cover the entire eligible family too. I could save a lot of money. Simply, just drop my Federal Health Insurance. Let ChampVA cover the whole cost. Do you agree?

MPsgt - I believe anyone over 50%SC, is covered, but I don't count on the VA for my care. I have Medicare A&B, plus a Medicare supplement and a drug policy. I use the VA for hearing aids, glasses, some prescriptions, physical exams, plus an occasional x-ray, if needed. Personally I would keep my private insurance, for now, as I care about "my care/life."

With ChampVA you still have a deductible and a 25% copay.

All visits at the VA are billed as emergency visits, and the last I knew it was $235 for each visit, even though it was a scheduled appointment.
