Prep for Decision...No C&P??

Rate this question

Question

I have several claims in, one increase, one reopen, and one new.  The increase was just filed on Jan 7th.  The new claim was filed on October 19.  Was in "under review" stage for a few days, and today it says "Prep for Decision."  No new C&P was done.  Is this normal?  Or could it be a fast denial?

Was told by Peggy today that my claim went from Prep for Decision back to Review of Evidence because I sent in a DBQ from Personal doctor.  So, hopefully it gets reviewed soon, and rated.  Estimated completion date only went back a month from Feb 4th to March 4th.  Maybe someone is actually working on my claim.

Any time you "add" new evidence to your current claim, that can cause your claim to go back to being reviewed.  You didn't mention this in your original post, so that is most likely why it went back to ROE.  Was the DBQ from your personal doctor for PTSD?  Because if so, that would hold water b/c a PTSD exam has to be done by a VA examiner or a QTC examiner.

No, it was for an increase for Major Depressive disorder.  Had a C&P and was rated back in Oct.  but didnt agree and filed for an icrease.  Hopefully they review the DBQ right away, and it goes back to Prep for decision.

Who did the DBQ?  That is what I am asking?  Sorry if I didn't make that clear.....Because if it wasn't by a VA doctor they won't use it.  All MH exams are conducted by the VA
