Prep for Decision...No C&P??

Rate this question

Question

I have several claims in, one increase, one reopen, and one new.  The increase was just filed on Jan 7th.  The new claim was filed on October 19.  Was in "under review" stage for a few days, and today it says "Prep for Decision."  No new C&P was done.  Is this normal?  Or could it be a fast denial?

It was a non VA doc, and I had a phone consult done last week, where they asked me questions pertaining to my MDD

Okay so what you are saying is you had an exam via the phone with a VA doc for MDD correct?

Who did the DBQ for you?  If it was for a MH disorder by a NON-VA doctor it won't help.  You would need one from a VA Doctor

The DBQ was done by a family doc.  Yes, the phone consult was by a VA doc.  I had a C&P for MDD back in October, and was rated.  I filed for an increase because I am seeing a VA Psycologist and he thought I should.  Would they request another C&P, or go by VA doc's notes?

Okay so if the VA referred you to out patient therapy then that DBQ should work. I too am seeing a therapist on the outside because my VA Doctor recommended it. So I am sure then that is fine.

Wish you luck!!'

e-bennies will drive you crazy.  Intent is to give you latest status, but realize every time someone picks up the package it can move forward or back or even back and the yellow envelope shows up.

advice is don't get hung up or what it says- roll with it
