request the 100%schedule Rating From combined IU Rating?

 Calling All Hands on Deck,

Anyone know what the VA Form # is to request the 100% scheduler rating be given & the IU to be moot?

As I understand  when a veteran is rated for combined IU/with P&T and no future exams schedule and his S.C. Disability is of nature not expected to improve in his life time.

The Criteria is,a when veteran has a combined scheduler IU Rating & the veteran has another separate rating of 70% or higher   he can request the 100% scheduler rating....the R.O, is supposed to do this at the time of the separate rating but the fail to do this and the Veteran don't know he can request the IU to be MOOT and given a 100% schedule rating.

This would change things for the veteran  if he was/is able to do some kind of work he could add to his family's income.  & Not be worried about for getting to send in the aggravating 21-4140-1  Every freaking Year.

Anyone know the FORM#?  or more information on this?

asknod, broncovet, Ms berta, j basser, Gastone, Vync, Ms Tbird???  & other knowledgeable members.   please feel free to chime in here.

Thanks

Buck

Vetquest

I have a IU rating at 90%combined   had that rating for 17 years  ok in 2015 I file a PTSD Claim and was granted 70%  this rating has nothing to do with my IU Rating  its a seperate&distink rating  this made me meet the SMC S  SMC Requirement ad they infered it to me and mention I had a 100% final degree rating

but nothing was mention about making th IU Moot.

so as for as I know I am still considered to be a TDIU P&T Veteran with SMC

Therefor I am required to send in the 21-4140-1 every year until 20 years have past.

I guess the elders here don't know or can't come up with the Regulation showing a TDIU P&T Veteran is not required to send in the 21-4140-1  every year.

I need to see that Regulation and make a copy to put with my IU File.

Until I am absolutely  sure , I will be sending in the 21-4140-1 ..until I get further notice from the VA its not required.

@Buck52, I -posted the question about the 21-4140-1 requirement here a day or so ago, and asked Berta and Chris Atig for their input.

They probably either didn't see my post, or are busy.

I have the VA on hold now with the question..

Buck, just got off the phone with the VA, and am happy to announce that vets on IU DO NOT have to submit a 21-4140 as of October 5th, 2018. The NEW policy is that the VA will contact the veteran IF they want him/her to submit the 21-4140 AFTER the VA confers with The Social Security Administration.

I have the Official email from the VA that states the above, and will post it here after I redact it.

Buck, or any veteran here can send me an email here at hadit.com,  if you would like for me to forward the email I got from the VA.

So Buck, Vetquest,..et al, GREAT NEWS!

Also, thank you ALL for your input on this matter!

Special thanks out to brokensoldier244..

As I just posted, your information is correct, and I now have the "official" update from the VA about the ins and outs of the 21-4140, dated  5 October, 2018.

As stated, I will redact the email I got from the VA, and post it here ASAP.
