request the 100%schedule Rating From combined IU Rating?

 Calling All Hands on Deck,

Anyone know what the VA Form # is to request the 100% scheduler rating be given & the IU to be moot?

As I understand  when a veteran is rated for combined IU/with P&T and no future exams schedule and his S.C. Disability is of nature not expected to improve in his life time.

The Criteria is,a when veteran has a combined scheduler IU Rating & the veteran has another separate rating of 70% or higher   he can request the 100% scheduler rating....the R.O, is supposed to do this at the time of the separate rating but the fail to do this and the Veteran don't know he can request the IU to be MOOT and given a 100% schedule rating.

This would change things for the veteran  if he was/is able to do some kind of work he could add to his family's income.  & Not be worried about for getting to send in the aggravating 21-4140-1  Every freaking Year.

Anyone know the FORM#?  or more information on this?

asknod, broncovet, Ms berta, j basser, Gastone, Vync, Ms Tbird???  & other knowledgeable members.   please feel free to chime in here.

Thanks

Buck

I'm glad you were able to put your mind at ease. Now back to worrying about the kids, grandkids, who has college finals, and where everyone sleeps for Christmas!

That's good if you trust the person you was talking /emailing with at the VA?

VA has Always contacted the SSA ...if they get word a IU Veteran is working.

Unfortunately they  (VA)have miss informed me on concussion....so naturally I don't trust them as for as I can throw them.

If they decided this  or it went into effect Oct 5 th 2018  All  IU Veterans should have recieved a Memo /Letter On the change...I hope we get one before the new year.

If I don't get anything about this from the VA before the New Year

I am still sending it in next year 2019.

Not that I don't believe you or brokensoldier.....I just need prof in the puddin

Buck, here is the official email from the VA Regional Office in Nashville that directly tells us that IU recipients DO NOT need to supply a 21-4140 UNLESS the VA requests one. The Social Security Administration now reports employment(or non employment) to the VA SHOULD the IU veteran have EARNED income that's ABOVE the poverty line.

It's cut and dried to me, so no more 21-4140s from me to the VA, and I will keep the "proof" I've attached here.

As far as I'm concerned, this is puts all questions to rest.

IF the attachment is a little fuzzy, email me here and I will send it directly to you.

That's good for you allansc2005  I hope it works out for you.

Just my opinion here  that email don't have VARO address or where it came from, so its not a  official legal document.

Also  in my opinion only , this is for the Veterans on IU that do go back to work,  SSA  Will notify the VA OR vs VERSA  and these Veterans will be sent the 21-4140-1 to be returned to the VA...In other words they will get caught if the go back to work and use their SSC#

I will wait for the VA to send out the Memo Change With a legal official VA Document.

This is about all I know to say on this matter.

Thanks to everyone who responded.

Buck, the email actually does say where it's from, Nashville Regional Office.

Your local office should be able to substantiate the email, called mine yesterday and they told me the exact same thing,  and is sending me a letter to prove it.

Good enough for me.
