0 Gastone
To RAMP or not to RAMP, that is the question! This certainly sounds like the DRO Review Appeal minus the DRO and the mandatory submission of New & Material Evidence. It appears that just a Sr Rater as opposed to a DRO does the Review and if the Denial is continued, the Vets only option is to the BVA. It's clearly stated that once the Vet opts for the RAMP (fast track? time will tell), he can't get back into the Traditional RO DRO (Review or Hearing) process. Then again, it was an RO Sr Rater that did my 07/2016 Denial Quality Review and reversed the SA Increase Denial to 100% 12/2016. That took less than 4 mos, hell of a lot shorter than a DRO Reviews 18 mos for a Decision.
0 HadIt.com Elder Buck52 Posted November 3, 2017 Author HadIt.com Elder Share Posted November 3, 2017 (edited) Gastone Roger That. This will just have to run its course first to see if its any better.??? I will say to the Veterans that opt over to ''RAMP'' Gastone is correct about opt over to'' RAMP'' I read in one of Ms Tbirds blogs that the current Appeals process is called the Legacy process and if a Veteran opts to change over to ''RAMP'' He/She can not go back to the Legacy (Traditional Appeals Process) As we know it. I would say at least its a start, However I agree with Gastone we won't know how RAMP will be or if its any faster or what? time will only tell (in my opinion.) 0 retiredat44
The thing (I won't call it a problem) is that if vets get screwed in any way and find out or question whether or not the decision screwed them, and the only way the community will find out is trial by fire. Since a lot of us have been seriously burned over the years and are so jaded and angry... how can we trust anything the va does. Is it to the benefit of vets or the va? (rhetorical).. Not in appeals, since I got 100%, and some of it was winning an 1151 negligence, which the VA turns out does not give ful benefits if you win 1151 negligence they squirm and legal loophhole you and your family out of many benefits, really crapp nasty bunch running the va benefits, they wil backstab and scre wyou even if you win you lose.
