I didnt think I needed to ask others, after all, I have 15 years experence with VA, and about 10 years on hadit!  I was wrong, and I would like to fix that.

I recently hired an attorney to represent me at CAVC.  The attorney and I agreed to "NOT" represent me at the BVA or VARO levels.      So, my attorney will be representing me at the CAVC, while I will go pro se (or maybe a VSO just to make VA "feel good", even tho I manage my claim myself).

When I spoke with my last attorney, she explained that VA "does not always take it" when the attorney withdraws, that is, it just sits there with the old attorney.

       So, my question is:

If I give my POA to a VSO (for BVA and VARO only), will it "mess up" my POA that I have already signed for the CAVC?

I would think that if you are still at VARO OR BVA and your power of attorney is a

VSO than you will have to change POA when you get to CAVC. ?? Why sign an attorney

before a decision is made by VARO OR BVA??

Bronc, I think the New Attorney sees small Retro $$ at BVA, only wants to get involved once CAVC Legal Fees are in play.

You may have signed a New POA with him, but it means nothing until presented to the VA or CAVC. Did you mention there is an another VA Attorney with your POA lurking somewhere in the shadows?

Im not working backwards, thanks.  I have appeals going at the BVA and CAVC at the same time.

Im appealing the August, 2017 Board decision at the CAVC, and appealing a VARO decision from less than a year ago.

Like yourself, I thought BVA would have "merged" all the appeals into one..but they did not.  So, Im at the BVA in one part, CAVC with another.

Yes, I know you have to appeal a finally adjuticated issue.

I dont know why my VARO "chops up" my claim into pieces..it was not my idea to have a seprate one for tdiu, a seperate one for effective dates, and a seperate one for smc.  They did that, not me.
