Home Oxygen rating

Current disability ratings=. One for knee =30%  abestosis in both lungs=plural placks=30% Total allowance is 50%   Now today new tests indicated in writing, 100% home oxygen required both at home and when walking around .New Test with FVC (forced vital capacity) of my lungs show 44%.  Rating table says less than FVC of 50% equals 100% disability rating. What should I expect in a total rating? Is a claim  increase adjustment considered a "new" claim? Thanks "

have you started the New Claim for "Increase" on your E-Ben site yet? June 1st is next week, don't drag your feet. Do you work with a POA-VSO? If so, have them file the New Claim.

Just received the medical paperwork today. Will file for an increase in the next 5 days with the VSO

Try to get your claim "delivered to your VARO" before June 1.  Why?  Well, assuming you eventually get the increase your effective date will be the date you applied (with some exceptions).  This means you lose a whole month's pay waiting until AFTER June 1 to apply.  That is about 3000 dollars for 100 percent Vets.  

Would you drive to your VARO for about $2000?  Remember you are service connected and the money you already get will be deducted from your retro. 

This is not the date you mail it, its the date VARO receives it.

J2, if the wheels fall off your car, the buses aren't running, Uber's shut down, you could go on your e-Ben site and file the Increase FDC today. Just logging in and beginning the CLAIM would get you in under the 06/01/2018 Filing Wire. 

If you don't have access to your E-Ben site, for whatever reason, just call your POA-VSO and request that they File for The Increase this afternoon, you don't have to be there, that's what the POA is all about.

This was on the 25th...so 5 days from then will be the  30th  cutting it close

Try to do file today if you possibly can.

  file an INT (intent to file FDC) This will give you more time to gather evidence if you need it and start your EED Clock
