FlyboyLeRoy
I know ebenefits isnt accurate, but im wondering if they give a proposed timeline for completion like they do for a regular claim. My HLR was filed 3/12/20 and im curios on that and anyone else who filed one too, thanks.
0 Moderator broncovet Posted March 30, 2020 Moderator Share Posted March 30, 2020 Not a lot of people use HLR. I sure dont. I dont know many people who have gotten benefits with HLR. However, since this is at the VARO, my guess is that ebenefits will give a unreliable guess on how long it will take. What does your's say? 0 Adminstrator ShrekTheTank Posted March 30, 2020 Adminstrator Share Posted March 30, 2020 I have used it and I would not use it again. It was a waste of time. You can see it at VA.gov and you can kind of track it from there.
0 El Train
I'm not a believer in HLR, but my attorney just filed one on my behalf. We also have an appeal for the same conditions and retro filed last July. I wonder if they are just seeing if they can get it resolved through HLR, and if not, then proceed with the appeal. It was quite a lengthy letter sent off for the HLR.

It currently just shows its being reviewed by a DRO ands shows it open. It doesnt give it an estimate or steps, so far, like other claims/appeals. All they were requesting was proof of inservice stressors whch per their cfr criteria, all legal paperwork needed was attached and clear. Therefor, we agreed on the HLR. The reviewer used his.her opinion rather than actually reading the evidence that shows nexus, dbq(s), and c&p exam. All info attached was favorable and had a buddy letter too. 5 hours ago, shrekthetank1 said: I have used it and I would not use it again. It was a waste of time. 0 deedub75
Ebenefts refers you to va.gov to review claims now and it doesn't show the claim moving through the steps like eBenefits used to. I've filed HLRs in the past and va.gov seemed to accurately track them. I filed a supplement back in February and nothing really showed up until the claim was finished. I just happed to see new rated disabilities on eBenefits so I knew the claim was completed. Vync

FlyboyLeRoy Another way you get an idea is if you go to ebenefits, and get to my documents. You can get a letter (for tax purposes, etc.) that will show if you are disabled and if so, what the combine

Ebenefits is pretty accurate in my opinion. It does show an estimated completion date and in my experience, updates faster than VA.gov.
