Scooter318 Most likely, there was something missing from the first exam or something else was indicated that requires further investigation. Still gathering evidence.  I assume that you have confirmed and the second exam is indeed also for migraines. You could call the contractor on the letter and ask for en explanation. They might transfer you to someone who has access to more info. In any case, you must go or risk getting a denial.

The VA did something similar to me. I filed a claim for sleep apnea after I got an IMO from my VAMC doctor. The VA sent me to a LHI C & P exam, and I took a copy of my IMO to the LHI examiner and she reviewed it and told me that she did not know or understand why the VA sent me to the exam. She noted it on my exam that I already had a positive exam from my treated doctor and my sleep apnea claim was granted within 30 days of filing it.

I just had the same thing happen. Went for C&P w LHI in early January. I called the VA hotline to check status and was told that I needed another C&P. I got the impression that the LHI provider left something out of the report??? Hoping it doesnt take another 6 months for them to schedule me.
