Unqualified C&P Exam Psychologist

Rate this question

DSIG

Question

LHI just sent me the details for my C&P exam appointment. This is for a PTSD increase claim. I looked up the doctor and even though there wasn’t much on him I found that he is a child psychologist, doesn’t have many and good reviews, wrote a book about social justice for children with disabilities that he sells on Amazon for $12 and was deposed for his professional credentials. One review says ‘I can’t believe this guy still has his license’.  I’m including a link to his creepy deposition. Where does LHI find these doctors and how can I get this changed?  Do I go to VA and ask for another contractor or take it up with LHI?

I don't know why VA busts some vet's asses over TDIU VS 100% .  I had a hell of a time getting 70% so I thought I was lucky to get TDIU.  However, if you have the evidence for 100% go for it.  Yeah, I know about Sy on the Duck Dynasty show.  What a riot.    If you have a good IMO all is achievable.

John999 please read this about Gross impairment.  Keep in mind that TDIU for a mental disorder is much more serious than a physical disorder. With a mental disorder a person may most likely need someone to care and constantly watch them.

Gross Impairment Mental Health Disability Ratings for Veterans (woodslawyers.com)

What Is Gross Impairment?

Gross impairment is a VA umbrella term used to describe someone who is completely unable to lead a normal life because a mental illness is so severe. They may not be able to keep a job, maintain healthy relationships, or maintain a home. In this context, “gross” refers to an overall impairment impacting every area of the veteran’s life.

Gross impairment differs from a normal 100 percent disability rating because it is tied to mental illness. A veteran can be in perfect physical health, but they may still not be able to function normally in their lives. A person with this kind of disability requires every bit as much care and compensation as a veteran who lost both legs.

Pacman

I applied on behalf of my wife for her to be my caretaker.  I submitted the app. online and now I wait.  If she is approved she can get Covid vaccine at the VA.  I think she also gets some kind of stipend.  I am way over 100% now since my last C&P exam.  I am pretty F**ked up since my DMMI got worse with the PN .  Maybe she can get help as my caretaker.  I need a zoo keeper.

I have had good luck with the LHI exams.  I think I just got lucky because of a fairly incompetent exam doctor.  The incompetence fell on my side this time.  I had horrendous results from VA C&P doctors in the past.  Most were idiots or VA chose to use the opinions of the most unqualified doctors over the most qualified doctors.  I had VA overrule a VA neurologist on behalf of a primary care doctor regarding nerve damage I have from PN.  Now I hit the jackpot with recent C&P LHI exam.  You spends your money and you takes your chances with these clowns.

I’m preparing a claim for an increase to SC cranial neuropathy that happened from wisdom teeth extractions. Since my symptoms are neuropathic but they are oral I’d be interested to see if the VA is going to send me to an oral surgeon specialist or neurologist for the C&P exam. I read a BVA appeal decision that involved similar symptoms and diagnosis I have and the VA sent the evidence not the veteran to some director of oral maxillofacial department in some college to conclude there is no way a tongue biopsy procedure at the VAMC caused the pain. I agree with VA that the veteran had those oral neuropathic symptoms before the biopsy.   The point is that the VA used an oral surgeon for a claim involving a neurological condition.   I’ve had this condition for 4 years with documented visits to specialists and failed treatments. I went back to the oral surgeon who originally saw me for this and he said he will fill out the DBQ for me. He is also a family friend so I am very fortunate. Let’s see where the VA sends me.
