I recently received mine, but it did not go as well as expected. I am curious about anyone else's experiences.

Can you elaborate- here, or via PM to me? I don't work with the mail/Janesville at all, but I can certainly forward complaints, concerns, issues etc anonymously probably more directly than you can. Plus, im genuinely interested. My Cfile is still on paper *sitting over there* in my file cabinet from the last time I requested it, and that was about 8-9 yrs ago, so, now that im not filing claims anymore Ive been considering getting 1 more copy.

Broken, I hope you mean that your C-File is somewhere in a locked/secured file cabinet. Your records are not supposed to be at the same duty station. When a veteran is hired at the VA/VAMC, his/her records are supposed to be placed in a secured area and flag that prying eyes can’t look in it. It’s been so long, I probably forgot so much, but they used to call them sensitive files. Anyway, your file should not be where you work.

@brokensoldier244thSure, I can send you a PM with more info.

I ran into some concerns with requesting mine. I created the poll just to find out if anyone else encountered the same issues

I work at home, so, for now, yes, they are located here.

My records on the VA side are somewhere, St. Louis, I think. I am not in St. Louis.
