I think I was lucky and had a C&P with a VA audiologist. C&P was her giving me a hearing test and word recognition test. And talking with me about it all. I did have a hearing exam in my service treatment records that showed hearing loss in the higher freqs. Not enough of course for a hearing claim lol. But I think that, plus the current exam, helped the doc write up the DBQ to say "more likely than not" caused my service. Good luck My exam is with some contracted company vs the VA. In a way I’m kind of glad. My last VA C&P was a jerk. He completed my exam, answered questions on the DBQ that he didn’t ask me and digitally signed the report 11 minutes after my exam started. I knew the exam was quick when I looked at my watch as I was leaving but confirmed it after accessing my records and seeing the digital time stamp. He has zero business dealing with vets.
