Disability rating benefits

Except for the dollar amount awarded, are there any differences in benefits between 10% and higher ratings?  From my limited research, it seems that the only difference between a 10% Disability rating and those higher ratings is the monthly benefits income dollar amount.

I agree with you Kenny but remember you pay no income tax on that and may receive tax free state and other benefits such as vet discounts that are tax free mostly .  It all adds up to over well over $4000.00 per month depending on the state of residence.  Some states are much more generous than others. I get a little over $4k a month.  Since I do have SSA and a modest pension I do OK.  With this inflation I feel it.  I did invest money when I was able so I am ok these days.  If I was a young vet I would invest at least 15% of my money every time I got a paycheck.  It actually works to build wealth.

States also provide benefits based on the level of disability and the higher the disability the greater the benefit is generally.

Thank you for the response.  Interesting, I will have to look into that for my State then.
