PACT Act 2022 signing

The President finally signed the PACT Act 2022 which adds 2 dozen presumptive diseases for disability, increases the window for recent veterans to get VA Heath Care, broaden Agent Orange coverages including presumptive hypertension, and ongoing toxin research. Bout time!!!

CC&K just published a report that the phase- in of the effective dates on the new disabilities which were staggered anywhere from 8-10-22 to 10-1-26 have been changed. Apparently, the VA ,due to pressure from the White House, will change all to an effective date of 8-10-22. However, there will be some delay because the VA has to implement internal regulations (like M21-1 manual) to administer the new changes. Once those changes are completed, the effective date for the new changes reverts back to 8-10-22. Bottom line, if you are a veteran that has one of these new presumptives, get your claim in now. This is great news for many.

The VA are such bastards. I put my claim in for HBP due to AO.  They expect vets in the 70's to wait four years for an effective date?  Most RVN vets will probably be dead by 2026 which is what they want.  I am glad the ED with be 8-22-2022.  VA does not give a damn about us.

Like I said if you have PTSD, Sleep Apnea. Type two diabetes,  make hypertension secondary to theses conditions now you can always go back to agent orange in October 1 2026. It’s all about money period

gGBArmy    CC&K video 3 days ago says new burn pits a presumptive list effective now. Only talks about burn pits nothing about agent orange hypertension effective now other than over 85 years or hardships and DIC, still 10/01/2026 for hypertension.

You may be right, but then I'm an optimistic guy. I believe the way he presented the info, he would have said " ONLY the burn pits", or somehow excluded the exception for AO. I don't think that the President when he told the VA Secretary to make it happen immediately he was referring only to Burn Pits legislation. I guess we wil both have to wait and see what the regs say.

GBArmy   I listen to it again two things it sound like 08/10/2022 is the effective date for the disability’s with know back pay and the law has to be changed so they will not know until early 2023 but I don’t think it for hypertension just for burn pits.
