Ebenefits
Hello i am new to the forums, hoping to find some answers. I am currently going through an MEB, i have my rating packet from the va but it shows on my ebenefits that it is still gathering evidence. The va packet was given to me by my peblo. I also cant generate a letter saying what my percentage is. Trying to see if this is because i am still active? Or if there is something else i need to do? Thanks in advanced for any help.

Hello, I'm a veteran living in Central Europe (Czech Republic),and I have logged in to ebenefits with no problems..but now when I click on online application for a new claim, I get the following error.. An unknown error has occurred. Please try again later, or call 1-800-827-1000 for assistance. SMC
On eBenefits today, my husband read the following: You have a 100% final degree of disability. This percentage determines the amount of benefit pay you will receive. The section we're not sure about is the SMC part. What does the following mean for him? Entitled to special monthly compensation under 38 U.S.C. 1114, subsection (s) and 38 CFR 3.350(i) on account of coronary artery disease and bypass graft surgery times three rated 100 percent and additional service-connected disabilities of erectile dysfunction, bilateral hearing loss, posttraumatic stress disorder, tinnitus, independently ratable at 60 percent or more from 02/05/2016. Thank you so mu…

L or L1
Hi All, long time away from the board because of too many things to go into. I did receive either an L (per the Cal Dept of Veterans Affairs rep that I spoke to on the phone) BUT the ebennies has me rated as L 1. Confused and frustrated best describe me. Surely, there is an answer out there somewhere. This does not surprise me though as it seems it is SNAFU. Any commments would be appreciated. I hope you all are hanging in and hanging tough. Take Good care, Holllie P.S. I received a 60% rating (up from 20% I think) for my MS bladder issues. Thank you.

Establishing correct effective disability dates!
I am a US Navy 100% permanent and total disabled veteran. I have 12 service connected injuries which vary in percentages from 0 to 70%. Five of my service connected injuries are over twenty years old. The VA has set the wrong effective dates for these five service connected injuries which indicates I haven't reached the twenty year mark. Ebenefits shows the wrong effective dates. I sent the VA regional office a copy of old rating decision which showed the correct effective rating code sheet dates. I have heard nothing in months. Ebenefits has wrong dates as well. Suggestions please!!!

Benefits letter
I logged onto Ebennies yesterday and lo and behold I have a closed claim and a rating...woohoo! However, I am a bit skeptical until I see a letter. When I go into the document section the benefit letter shows me as the survivor to my still living active duty husband?! Do I just need to wait a bit longer to see my rating letter (also known as the AB8)?

Preparation for Decision. Ok....
Hi Everyone, I am familiar with this section, but I was curious what timeline people have had during this part of their claim. I never had any C&P exams, but this claim has to do with gulf war stuff. I assume they'll either finish this claim up with a denial, or send it back to evidence phase and send me to a C&P. Thoughts?

Preparation for Notification
Does anyone know how long it takes for the verification letter or "disabilities" to update on eBenefits after the status changes to Preparation for Notification?

Washington ordered veterans affairsto pay 9 years compensation instead of 6
In 2003 my claim was being reviewed by the board in Washington DC, they requested my medical records from the Cleveland Rating Officer, at that time. Yet the RO choice to deny my claim for six more years making it all the way delayed until 2012. The RO then returned my files back to Washington who got in their case saying they had no right to delay or deny my claim and ordered them to pay my claim from April 2003 to Nov 2012. Well three months ago I was applying for medicare and needed to bring my reward letter from VA, while waiting to see a representative for medicare I read over the payment entitlement letter and low and be hold there in black in white, it shows a gap…

tdiu Rated Disabilities
I have been Service Connected at 60% for chronic fatigue syndrome for more than 20 years. I have started the process of filing a claim for unemployability. During that process, I looked at my rated disabilities in ebenefits and found that it is noted as Systemic condition - general, 60% service connected with an effective date of 1999. My BVA decision was written in 1998 and the effective date of my rating was back to 1994. I talked to a Service Officer and they said they didn't know why it was listed in the system like this, but as long as I had my decision I should ignore it. My concern was, and is, that it shows the wrong date and that difference means the differe…
