Notice Of Disagreements
How many times can a vet file a NOD on a claim. Is it once per decision? Once per claim? Let me give a hypothetical here. If a vet got a decision in Jan of 06 and filed a NOD in Feb of 06. Got a decision on that NOD in Jan of 07. Could the vet then file a NOD on that decision within 60 days? Would it be considered a separate decision and allow the vet to file a NOD. Bertha, Pete, those that have been there done that in the NOD process, give me some info on this subject. It could be useful for other vets in the future. We certainly can't get this info off www.va.gov Danang_1969.

Pentagon Says They Made Error
I mentioned yesterday that a disabled veteran from Iraq- Jordan Fox- had expected a $10,000 enlistment bonus and the DOD sent him a letter asking him for $3,000 of it back. He had been injured in Iraq just before his commitment was up-and the DOD said he owed them this money-as he did not fulfill his military service period DUE TO getting injured in Iraq. One person can move a mountain-sometimes-this vet was pretty vocal about the "bill" he got from the gov-for the $3000. Fox News this AM said an official from the Pentagon was notifying PFC Fox that they had made an error and apparently are informing all the other servicemen and women who were asked to repay par…

Additional Evidence And The Right To Get
This BVA decisions explains a point that my former POA could never comprehend-I was denied due process by the RO because they never issued an SSOC when I had sent them additional medical evidence-in 2004 -and my POA just sat back and allowed that to occur---as they did to this veteran--- it will be interesting to get some results eventually on my complaint to the GC on them- They have still failed to file a Motion at the BVA revoking my POA for good cause- (They had no good cause) I posted this whole brief BVA decision here because- in the late 1990s I received many SSOCs before I succeeded on my 2 claims. When you send in additional probative evidence within 6…

Filed For Copd
During C&P exam I took breathing test and the person administrating the exam said I had COPD and prescribed an inhaler. I can't remember the number but she said it was probably caused by second hand smoke when I was younger. I served in Iraq and inhaled a lot of junk over there. It seems like it has gotten worse since I have come home. Anyone had any luck with getting it service connected? What does it take? Thanks in advance. Greg.

Harsh Words From Colonel Hunt
http://www.vawatchdog.org/07/nf07/nfNOV07/nf112207-1.htm Col. Hunt is one of my favorite people on the air- he always cuts through the crap and says it like it is---- In part he said: "For my disconnected, disinterested uncaring friends, it's not about the damn money, We have the damn money, it's us, we suck, we do not care...We are all collectively allowing out government to perpetuate this crime, the crime of not taking care of soldiers." Why isnt someone like him running the VA?

Help A Marine Widow
If you remember a while back I told you all that I convinced a widow whos husband died from throat cancer linked to AO to file. She got DIC in four months. She said she was happy with that . I got her to watch CNN Saturday night. After I talked to her Sunday morning and explained that she should of been drawing DIC from the time of her husbands death in MARCH 2001 from AO cancer she is going to her SO I sent her to the first time to get an earlier EED. All this time we have been trying to talk her into filing and all it took was watching CNN to give that final push. She also said that the day he died Socila Security called and said he was eligable and s…

ptsd War On The Va
WOW!!!, I hope this does not happen to me or you. These people really got it broke off in them. If I felt confident before, it is all gone now. Makes me wish I had not watched it, I don't see any real changes coming to affect VA standards right now or in the future. Just a slow drown out death if your able to follow threw, after not working for over 2 years and loosing every thing my family and I have worked so hard for, for years and seeing that CNN special makes me sicker at my stomach. I know I'm not the only one. Did you see those stats with the PTSD claims 3 to 4 times higher than then every war from WWII thur Somalia = Iraqi Freedoms, did I hear that right? I was in…

ptsd Eed To 1987-ptsd
http://www.va.gov/vetapp07/files1/0707802.txt Very interesting case- In part: "Upon receipt of additional service department records, relating to the veteran, in December 1998, the veteran's original service connection claim for PTSD was automatically reopened and remains open and pending. The RO's adjudication and grant of the claim for service connection for PTSD in December 2003 constituted an adjudication of the pending claim filed on October 8, 1986." and "In this case, the effective date would, under normal circumstances, be January 23, 1998, as that was the date of receipt of the veteran's current claim. However, the Board …
