hypertension Risk Factors
Hi everyone, Haven't posted or been on site for months, because my computer crashed and had to save up to get another. My husband's VA doctor refused to put in writing that his obesity, is the cause of his diabetes, hypertension, heart, etc. after telling him that his obesity is the cause of his medical problems. He told him that the VA will not allow him to put in writing that obesity is the cause of his medical problems. However, he said that he is allow to tell him that these are risk factors associated with diabetes. My question is what does this mean and can my husband use this statement when applying for an increase for diabetes, hypertension, heart, et…

Claim Denied
I just recieved my rating decision on my claim of athletes foot. I was given a service connection but given a 0% rating. The only evidence used was my SMR's and a examination from my Dr., I was not given a medical exam by the VA. The VA states "We have granted a service connection for your athlete's foot because your SMR's show you were treated for and diagnosed with athlete's foot while on active duty. We have assigned a 0 percent disability evaluation based on private medical evidence that reveals you have athletes foot on your left foot. It was noted you were prescribed topical medication for control. A noncmpensable evaluation is assigned unless there is dif…

Letter For C & P States I Can't Bring Records To Exam!
Got my packet for a C & P exam with a doctor contracted by the VA as arranged by a company called QTC Medical Services. I have posted a few times about this and don’t want to come across as redundant, but this pre-exam packet, I believed is weighed against me. I want to provide this general medicine doctor (not a specialist) with my relevant medical evidence. Especially the data from the VA doctor and three civilian podiatrists’. The packet states that I CAN’T bring any info with me and I must submit data directly to the VA. I am already granted a partial award for feet problems and I just can’t believe that they are sending me to a contracted doctor, espe…

I Have A C&p With A Non-va Dr.
I have a C & P apt with a non VA Dr. who is not a specialist! How do I copies of this C & P records? Apt is with QTC Med services. The VA has all the verified evidence from my civilian and VA specialist, yet they are sending me to a non-specialist for my problem. Someone told me that they do this in the hopes that you will give up and drop your claim. I just can't understand why they didn't send me to a specialist or even a general Dr IN THE VA system.

ptsd Case Closed
Called the 800 # today and asked the lady if there was any activity on my PTSD claim. She said the case had been closed on Sept 17. I asked WHY and that I had recieved NO NOTIFICATION that my claimed had been closed or why. She filled out a form to send up the food chain to find out why and that I should recieve some kind of reason within a couple of weeks. Do I hold my breath and hope some one corrects this screw up. Or write a letter to the director of the St. Louis R.O. and ask for an explanation????

More From Watchdog On
Larry Scott (VA Watchdog) is on a roll here- I posted the other info the other day here- years ago I got what one could consider an "extraordinary award" from the USA-wrongful death due to VA- however the VA made an enormous financial error when they had to process the DIC I got based on that award- I think they should be looking at all awards and not just the ones over 250,000- then again a claimant can challenge anything right away and even ask for a monetary breakdown of a retro check -if they think something doesnt seem right. The VA tried to snooker millions from AO vets in the past- many of these awards involved lots of money- probably some were extraordi…

Decision By Amc
Hi to all Can you ask the AMC to make a decision on remanded claims and not sending it back to the VA for them to make a decision. Can i put in a claim for Hiatal Hernia, diagnosed in service twice with Hiatal Hernia and also twice on C&P exams, va did nothing about it.Along with this i was also diagnosed with Gastritis, Gastro reflux disease and peptic ulcer disease. On my remand the VBa does not agree with the opinion of the va doctor because she is a pulmonary doctor and gave an opinion without looking at my va records, otherwise she would have notice that i was diagnosed with a Hiatal Hernia twice in service and Gerd disease, the bva wants an opinion from a g…
