Scuttlebutt On
Larry is right- we sure don't need someone again who just doesn't have a clue on VA disability: http://www.vawatchdog.org/07/nf07/nfOCT07/nf101107-1.htm Gorman's remarks are on point- I have alot of respect for this guy although I gripe about the DAV- The DAV just like the VA itself employs the worst and also the best in my opinion and Dave Gorman is one of the best.

Va Required To Notify Of Mistakes In Care?
I just got this from The Charlotte Observer Web site and wanted to see if anyone else here knows if VA regulations require that patients and their families receive notification of mistakes with care? The article has no reference to a specific regulation, so I'm not sure if this is so. What say you, hadit fambly? Cases like this are very sad: VA's silence on death brings grief, confusion for family STELLA M. HOPKINS shopkins@charlotteobserver.com Tim Alexander picked up his dad from the Asheville VA hospital on a sunny fall Sunday for a cookout. He knew his father was dying, but that day was a good one. Do Not Take The Vdbc Survey
I received one of those VDBC and like all survey's I recieve they hit my file 5...but I read this artical this morning in VA watchdog.com and found it interesting and will pass it along... A FINAL WORD ON THE VETS' SURVEY -- The Vets' Commission does not have a justifiable "Need to Know" veterans' personal information. And, there are absolutely no guarantees that personal information will be adequately protected. Do NOT take the VDBC survey. After careful consideration, I must still advise all veterans NOT to participate in the survey being taken by the Veterans' Disability Benefits Commission (VDBC). Why? 1. The VDBC has no "Need to Kno…

Do Va Doctors And/or Contract Drs. Cross State Borders?
Wondering, are there exceptions for VA doctors and contracted Dr.s to 'cross' state borders? Are they or do they need to be licensed in the geographical state to evaluate a patient, say for a C&P? Or is that only needed for ongoing practices? cg

diabetes Depression Compounded
Hello, this is my first post here. I have been treated for depression for a little over twenty years now. I have had various success with therapies and medications and have been essentially stabilized for the past five years. I left the USAF in '87 and was subsequently diagnosed with chronic depression. I was attending a large and prestigious state university at the time and had the opportunity to be diagnosed and treated by many of the most reknowned mental health and specifically depression-research clinicians in the country. While in college I took the opportuntity to learn as much as possible about my condition. Approximately ten years after graduati…

Demand An Explanation!
hadit members: I decided to make this post because of a response earlier that I made to a member. There are a lot of military units out there that really mess up alot of young veterans that have to discontinue their military service for reasons prior to their expiration term of service. Please advise those who are close to you or someone you care about not to be satisfied with only an "honorable, honorable under general conditions or anything that suggest that block 24 of DD 214 is the only important part of the document, because its not. They need to have the DD 214 explained to them before signing. They could very well be signing a document that suggest, yes, "we …
